“I don’t know that you deserve that name, just yet.”
Loki takes several steps upon the air, standing nearly a foot above the ground, and he SMILES, his bearing playful.
“Can you use your FORCE for this, I wonder?”

It’s a quiet existence, his new living quarters.
Never could any residence rival the joviality of Asgard’s halls, but these apartments are so still, Thor sometimes wonders if anyone lives here at all.
A month ago, he’d seen evidence of live in the form of a young man moving in across the hall, though, so that theory’s been disproven. Things stayed quiet, but Thor has seen him enough times to have his interest piqued. Walking by when he’s gotten take-out, or when he’s spoken to their landlord - the man never seems to carry money, and no one ever seems to take any from him.
In fact, no one seems to pay him much attention at all.
It’s an odd observation, and once Thor realizes he’s made it, he immediately tries to shake the thought off. It's this place getting to him, making his mind malleable and paranoid.
One evening, as he comes up the stairs after a couple hours of jogging, he almost collides with the man in question. Tall with loose brown curls that stop just after his ears, the man is a presence almost as much as he himself is, no matter how hard he tries to be the opposite.
“Evening,” he says, because he’s been trying to make a conscious effort to actually be friendly. Plus, he’s curious about the guy.

it's so shortsighted when people whip out that card. Like suuure bud, it was 1 single man, not the whole structural failure of an organization that has become so involved in its politics that it has failed on multiple accounts. Lets blame the 1 obi-wan "infinite sadness" kenobi. I've got a lot of words for these kinds of people.
▸▸ Like the guy did his best. He was kind and considerate and so fckn patient. He spent his entire life trying to do the right thing. No matter how cruel life was to him, he just kept going. His biggest downfalls were how he was too trusting, patient and always wanted to see the good in people. HE WASN’T A BAD GUY. But now a lot of the fandom has just turned against him all because of this stupid, throwaway line in TLJ.
Now it’s like:
[Something goes wrong in the Sequel trilogy] I can’t believe Obi-Wan would do this
@ofresolutc liked for a starter
Peeling wires, crossing fibers, Loki was manually digging into the security for the door, trying very carefully to unlock it and open it without setting off any alarms. He’s so concentrated on not causing a mess that he almost doesn’t hear footsteps approaching, but thankfully the god’s ears are keen, and he does notice. Quickly shoving the wires back inside and pressing the panel back into place, he stands up straight and clears his throat, turning around to spot the figure approaching, and he lies his way away from trouble. “Afternoon~” he speaks as calmly as possible, giving a short nod and acting as though he hadn’t just been hacking through the door security.

The path which lay ahead was uncertain. The young Jedi had never expected to lose his Master so suddenly, nor to take on an apprentice without so much as a day’s experience as a Knight. In truth, Obi-Wan was surprised the Council had permitted him to train Anakin. Yet he still was unsure of if he would even pass the trials ahead.
Had he not already threatened to leave the Order to fulfil the dying man’s wish? Surely Yoda would not permit such blatant attachment, especially to a memory.
Kenobi tried his best to smile in support of Anakin’s confidence, but as always the expression seemed unsure and uncomfortable. His apprenticeship had been long and hard, his days as an initiate no better. Now, he was more likely to frown than smile. He’d grown accustomed to it.
❛ I should have some time before I begin preparing for the trials. I could show you around if you like, ❜ this boy he barely knew, but Qui-Gon had seemed so sure of. His hands played with the edges of his sleeves, picking at the stitching. ❛ Last time you never had a chance to see much of the Temple. ❜
❝ i’d bow if i could, your majesty. ❞
the noble title grinds his gears along with his remaining vital organs. YOUR MAJESTY. that is a birthright. the royalty of the planets he has seen have just been crude stand-ins for POWER. taught about wars but never made to fight in them. he’s a general and a warrior, not a KING. “if this is another remark on my height, anakin, i will cut you off at your knees. then we will see WHO BOWS.”
