Dexterous fingers had busied themselves at typing away at a worn keyboard, one that her fingertips knew well. Blue eyes stared intently at the screen, following the expanse of words that her fingers produced against the white background that was to represent paper. Fleshy lids concealed sapphires before she re-opened her eyes, one hand reaching for the Styrofoam coffee cup. She had been working on her first assignment for a good solid week now, the thesis having to be done and turned in by this coming Friday. Her facts were lined up, her outline produced and now she just had to write the bulk before getting it proofread and corrected.
She rubbed at her temples lightly, frowning when her stomach gave a little noise that demanded her attention. It was going on four o'clock and she hadn't paused once to get something to eat. Well, that was neglectful of her. Staring hopelessly at her essay she decided to quick save before shutting the lid, standing carefully before the back of her chair hit the table behind her. She flinched at the loud sound, a familiar pressure building behind her eyes. Oh no; not here. She wouldn't loose her cool here.
With practiced effort, she suppressed her little "gift" before exhaling a held breath. It took serious concentration and she knew she would be getting a either a headache or a nosebleed soon enough. Turning around quickly, she pulled the stubborn chair away from the table.
"I'm so sorry." she apologized. There wasn't a damn thing graceful about Addison.
