Leans in and licks the bits of sea salt ice cream stuck on the corner of Roxas' lips. "You're a messy eater." It was either a smug tease or a scowl, a casual comment.

A small squeak slips out around the bar of ice cream, which he pulls from his mouth in stunned silence. There’s a moment where he just freezes, unsure what to do until he turned around to look at Riku, with wide eyes. What he doesn’t notice is that there’s heat raising across his face and up towards the tips of his ears. “I..Am I now?” It also doesn’t occur that he’s squeaking, rather than going stiff and growling.

He was eating some Sea Salt Ice cream, taking a break from hanging up a streamer reading “Happy New Years”. Vanitas was told New Years parties were a normal tradition around there. And there was food involved, which Vanitas didn’t mind to be honest.

Vanitas glanced over to Riku. “So...did you bring chips and dip?”

              Here’s a certain Master blowing kisses at a certain little, small and adorable wife of his, since a mean Sheepdog Riku have picked on him, and denying him of being called cute. “You’re always adorable and cute to me, wifey-chan~” Oh well, time to pack up and get ready to sleep on the couch again for that comment.

The two of them were just talking. Or more accurately they’re joking together, which felt simultaneously out of place and comfortable. He’s not quite relaxed. but a few smiles have flashed across his face. And that’s probably good that he’s so relaxed that this time around. Else when Riku leaned down and pressed their lips together, he would have had a much more volatile reaction. 

As it was, instead of swinging at the silver haired Master, the blond stiffened up, eyes flying wide open and heat rising up to his face. His entire body went still. For a moment, he’s even tempted to relax into the contact. Except this was Riku and he never relaxes around Riku, So when the Nobody does move again, it’s to pull away and stare at the silver haired Master with narrowed eyes. 

“What in Kingdom Hearts was that for?” Unbeknownst to him, his voice is a little higher than normal, despite him clearly immediately going on edge.

"It's not about Sora with this. I'm not even comparing you to Sora. Sora is Sora. You are you. I just thought it'll be a nice change of pace from sea salt all the time. You never had chocolate one right?" Alright, he may have fucked up with Roxas before. But he honestly wasn't even thinking of his best friend when he looked at him. "I'm not treating you relating to him anyway. You wanted to be treated as your own person right?" He is doing just that.

A small hum of distrust sounded as ocean blue eyes peered up from under dark lashes at the other male. Though the explanation does serve to make him not stiffen anymore, relaxing a touch. There’s another quick glance, but then the scowl on his face is being replaced by a weak tint of a a smile. Just one corner of his mouth barely curling up. 

“No I haven’t had this one before.” That smile is gone is a flash, face settling into a more neutral expression with a quirked up tawny brow. “For future reference though..” A pause as his shoulders relaxed a but more. “If you’re going to make an offer to me...for me...Don’t mention Sora?” He has to resist the urge to add a ‘please’ just because he refuses to plead with the silver haired master, not at this point.
