“Oh Ren, you useless, useless gay.” 

She sips the lukewarm bland tea quietly, staring him down over the rim of her cup. Watching him just stare with those lovey-dovey eyes. It was almost revolting, and honestly as much of a fan of a slow-burn, this was just ridiculous. He couldn’t just man up and talk to him? If he wouldn’t- Hinako would just take the piece of eye candy he’s been eyeballing and run with it.

Maybe Ren needed divine intervention.

Unfortunately, she’s the closest to holy he’ll ever get.

Naturally, she kicks his shin from under the table and motions to the boy in the beige suit. Her hands lower an emptied cup and her voice is tired, so very tired of his dance. An eye twitches with the nervous tick of a man who got his 30-day chip from anger management. Her patience has run out. With a slam of her hands, snatching her bag and glaring at him.

“I’m leaving, going to mementos. Just go talk to him, Amamiya. It’s not like he’s going to die once you open your mouth. Call me when you guys get married. Maybe I’ll get to sew your wedding outfit if I’m lucky.”

and with that, barely slamming the door as she storms out, hiding the sullen look on her face as the girl vanishes without a trace.

IT’S ACTUALLY SUCH A DAD JOKE. And I hate that I laughed so fucking hard at it. He laughs at the dumbest things, then realizes he just laughed at something uncool and regrets laughing. He’s an awesome dork.

He deserves so much but gets so little

I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again, I don’t remember hearing about 65% of these voice lines. Like did you know he has about 12 minutes of store dialogue (not counting anything he speaks in full like the extra max rank confidant cutscenes at the final battle and ‘confidants helping him out of jail’ scenes)? I didn’t until I saw the video that had most of them in it. And I find that super sketchy. Either I clearly didn’t get the triggers for all of these voice lines, or some of these (which I believe was confirmed) were cut from the game. I wonder why that is.
