He’s still waiting for his turn in the P5 Animation. They’ve gotta show him. How else they gonna get that awesome gear?
facadxs:
“…It’s my warm up.”
His head tilted slightly and scratched his cheek with a sheepish smile. “I can’t really do my real work out without warming up first, I’d rather not pull my muscles and joints.” It was standard concern with anyone that did work out. However apparently Iwai did not seem to like it.
Norman hesitated. “I can erm… stop if you’d like. It was not my intention to make you uncomfortable.”
“Yeah, ya might call that a warmup, but I call it embarrassin’, c’mon you really gotta stop doin’ that. People’re starin’...” Iwai’s trying his best to make the other look slightly less embarrassing, but this was a long shot that couldn’t be helped despite his best efforts.
“Why don’t ya do normal stretches? Y’know, somethin’ that don’t make ya look all stiff and robot-like? Even yoga’d do ya some good, maybe... Certainly helps others. You try it?”
corvidacee:
“I imagine your clientele to be an interesting bunch, as well as your livelihood. It takes a special sort of person to take this as a hobby. I don’t mean it as a bad thing, of course. I just see this as quiet a specific sort of thing. It has a certain margin it appeals to.” American tourists, yakuza enthusiasts, himself. He’s scanning the cases now, slowly making his way down them, hand as his chin when he considers their uses. “But I believe that would be best, seeing as the smaller circle will net you more returning customers and familiar faces. You build a good rapport that way, certainly. Oh,” Akechi stops himself, turning back to face the man and offer an apologetic smile. “My apologies. I’m simply going on and on. I should at least properly introduce myself, as well. Goro Akechi.”
Police trying their best? It’s a laugh he has to hold back, honestly. Akechi feels like he’s doing their dirty work, if anything. He thinks he’s on the right trail, but dammit if this group doesn’t have him running ragged and working more now than he ever has before. The coming election doesn’t help, either. Not that that applies in this situation, though. “Unfortunately, I don’t have any leads at the moment. Things have been quiet, and that’s not always a good thing,” he sighs, shifting a hand into his pocket. “Though, I doubt this is going to be a case that goes cold. My guess is that whatever move is going to be played next is currently being planned.” And he would be wise to be doing the same.
“A special sorta person hmm? Alright, guess I’ll take that as an acceptable explanation. If ya say it’s not a bad thing, then I’ll believe ya fer now.” He had no reason to distrust the other anyway. “Although I’ll tell ya one thing. There’s actually a lotta people that come here lookin’ fer all sortsa stuff. Guns, gear, even some of the rations I keep around. Guess people wanna be prepared fer any sorta natural disaster or somethin’. Ah, just the other day had a woman in here lookin’ at whips...” The weapons dealer smirks, knowing exactly what the woman wanted it for. He wouldn’t dare mention their purpose out loud though.
Upon hearing his name, he simply nods. “Yeah, figured that’s who ya were. Seen ya before, unsurprisingly. Excuse me fer not makin’ that clear ahead o’ time. If I know my stuff, ya probably know stuff ‘bout the owner of this place before ya came in huh? Either way, Munehisa Iwai. Iwai’s fine. Weapon collectin’s my game. Although...” He pauses, choosing his next words wisely. “A guy in my line o’ work always has his ear to the ground, y’know. If I hear anything, could let’cha know. Right now, all I’m hearin’ ‘bout though are them punks with the calling cards. I doubt anybody’s gonna stop talkin’ ‘bout ‘em for weeks. I wonder if it’s jus’ some sorta publicity stunt? Guess I’ve never heard ‘bout it though... Hrm...”
thedetectiveofinaba:
“That would be right, sir.” She had heard of this airsoft gun shop Untouchables from a colleague of hers and was asked to go there to ask if there had been any suspicious customers. Apparently the fact that Phantom Thieves were on the run meant Tokyo PD had to check every possible weapon shop they might use. She didn’t mind the place she’d handed by Sae or the idea itself - they finally had a scrap of idea what the Thieves might do. Plus, she was intrigued of the selection Iwai Munehisa, the shopkeeper of this place, had here.
“Those two details you mentioned would sound great to hear. You can start whenever you want, I’m not busy. Preferably start about the types of customers and if it has changed recently.” She pulled a notepad and a pen from her pocket and started waiting while eyeing the guns on the shelf. They looked really cool and comfortable to use… maybe she’d stop by here later to actually buy one to try it out at the gun range.
“Hrmph... Alright. You really wanna know more ‘bout me and my business huh? Let’s get down to it then.” It wouldn’t have been wrong to say that Iwai was slightly concerned with telling everything about his business, but he figured discussing it generally and openly wouldn’t hurt him in any way... He’d just be careful on what he said specifically.
“I see... The type’a people that come by here vary greatly. Fer instance, we got your older men who’re real crotchety but knowledgeable gun enthusiasts. Then ya get some women in here, usually their reasons fer wantin’ one of my weapons is understandable and sympathetic. And that’s all I’m sayin’ on that matter.” He simply meant many found it prudent to desire owning one for their own protection, a concept that Iwai felt was responsible and just, despite not being his business entirely.
“There’ve been a couple’a teenagers. Slightly more frequent than usual, but nothin’ t’be suspicious of, if I say so myself. Ya always get the punks or the kids dared to come in here. Nothin’ new really. Course I only sell ‘em the basic stuff that probably couldn’t hurt a fly. Does that help in any way? If I had t’vouch fer anybody, it’d be the old timers. While I don’t doubt they know what they’re doin’, pretty sure no crimes’d be committed in their state o’ being...”
gekkoxpin replied to your post “Say nothing. Just get what you want and get outta the shop.”
-steals his glasses-
“Kaoru, ya aren’t gonna look good in ‘em. I got you a different pair in red anyway...”
Say nothing. Just get what you want and get outta the shop.

Definitely important to be keeping up on this sorta thing, but since my last one’s outdated, here’s the current list of blogs that I’m active on. Chances are, if I’m not on here, I’m on one of my other blogs.

captain-sakamoto:
“So you remember me this time? Yeah but that’s what you sell so you gotta like guns right?”
*Ryuji was still slightly annoyed about how when he first introduced Ren to the store Iwai already forgot who he was. However hearing the older male speak the blonde was wondering if the owner didn’t like guns why did he start the business in the first place.*
“Course I remember ya. Not hard to recognize a punk kid with obviously dyed blonde hair and an extremely loud personality.” His tone was slightly negative, although he simply meant it objectively and not as an insult. He really didn’t care how the other looked anyway. It didn’t concern him after all.
“Of course I have guns. Model ones are all you’re gettin’. But this store has more than just that y’know. Armor, gear, blades, whips, spears, axes...” He went on for a solid three minutes simply listing what sort of objects he had in this store. “Also, believe it or not, food. They’re the rations type, especially useful if you’re buildin’ a bomb shelter or somethin’. Y’never know what sorta thing people want when they come in here. I cover my bases. Still, what sorta reason do you have for wantin’ a model gun?” He held up a finger, clearly looking the younger over. “Although I had a pretty good guess myself.”
From here @bloodsplatteredmoon
It was only once the door had closed behind the younger that Iwai began to speak, his low voice barely traveling to the other’s ears clearly enough for him to understand everything that was being said.
“I’m concerned. There’s been more activity around the back alleys than I’da preferred. Not a concern specifically to me, as I’m sure ya understand. But I’m concerned fer others.” He wouldn’t state that he was mostly concerned for Kaoru’s sake, as more violence and crimes meant he had to take extra precautions in caring for the betterment of his son’s own life. That, and of course he wasn’t exactly interested in seeing people fight each other like idiots over trivial matters. If you were going to fight, it should be over something important, and not simply because someone irrelevant ‘stares at you a certain way’, a problem that seemed to be quite common with the younger people that frequented the back alleys.
“Ain’t here t’lecture ya. You seem like you don’t involve yourself unless people attack you first, which between you and me is a good stance t’have. Hard to really attack a guy with that stance, take it from me kid. Still, was wonderin’ if you’ve heard anything as to what’s got ‘em all riled up as of late.”
‘ you need stitches. ’ from mirumxmorio if that’s ok!! <3
Hurt Prompts
“Impressive kid. Looks like you’re gettin’ better with medical knowledge huh? K-Keep it up and-” He lets out a pained grunt. The blade had only cut his side and missed his vitals, but it had cut deeper than even Iwai had expected. The kid was right, he would need stitches.
Sighing, Iwai steeled himself. This wasn’t the worst wound he’d ever received, and he wasn’t about to show weakness in front of the other now. It would have been ill-fitting. “So, don’t just stand there. Get some supplies, and don’t you dare call me an ambulance, got that? Don’t need people comin’ around here askin’ what happened.”
“Thank you for treating me decently.”
From a meme I lost two weeks ago
“Don’t gimme that shit.” The weapons dealer cut him off mid-speech. He wasn’t going to have any of this sappy crap now. It wasn’t his style, and felt rather uncomfortable if that train of thought were to continue. It wasn’t as if he deserved the thanks anyway.
“’s no need fer any’a that. I treated you like any regular customer. It was probably outta obligation or habit. Thankin’ me implies I did somethin’ knowingly to help ya out. I appreciate the sentiments, but you gotta save your thanks for someone that deserves ‘em. Got that? Any decent human being would’a done the same.”
‘ do you believe in ghosts? ’
Interview Iwai
“Ghosts? Outta all the questions, ya asked me that? Heh, strange kid huh. Fine. My answer’s yeah on this one. Don’t exactly know anything ‘bout ghosts, but I’m inclined to believe there’s somethin’ out there like ‘em. Better to believe and just be somewhat cautious than completely dismissin’ ‘em, right?”
‘ do you like people? ’
Interview Iwai
“My official answer is not entirely. Technically, I ain’t fond of large crowds. Probably a habit after all these years, but it ain’t easy to feel at ease in large groups of people. As far as talkin’ to a random stranger goes or goin’ out to meet up with someone, I’ve got no problems there. Guess it depends on the circumstances and the individual. Don’t got time for stupidity though, I’ll say that much. Anybody with half a brain is good in my books.”
Aight, now that I’m fed. Time to continue doing stuff here. Been a while huh? My bad, I apologize for that. Iwai muse hasn’t left me. Time to get down to business to defeat some drafts.
