       magic props are very, very heavy. the wonderbar’s kindness in helping her move them in apparently doesn’t extend to outside, and now she’s out on the sidewalk staring dumbly at the pile in front of her. apollo’s probably asleep at this point, and who knows where her father had run off to? 

        with a heavy sigh, she works her gloves off her hands and sticks them gracelessly into her pockets, wondering if she can find a taxi to take her home that’ll be willing to throw around a couple birdcages and a hundred-something scarves.
