After his serious talk with Giovanni, Silver spent the next few hours kneeled in the entryway of his closet. Indeed there were skeletons here, and with a sulk it was almost… shocking how much of his belongings had been forgotten about with time. They brought a fresh pain to an old wound when he had first opened the door, and pulled back the wall of shirts and jeans to see what he had taped behind them.
A collage of hopes and dreams– pictures of Champion Red he had cut out from newspapers and magazines to symbolize hope and idolization of what was possible.
The redheads expression twisted with both disdain and disappointment for how much his mind worked once, it was so… naive. His stomach twisted in a knot as he picked up one of the old issues of ‘Pokemon Spotlight’, a magazine that would showcase tips and tricks for up and coming trainers, as well as have written interviews from Champions and Gym Leaders of the time. There were a few pages of Red in there that he circled with a pen, or underlined key words and phrased that apparently the up-and-coming Master of the time was saying.
Holding it in his hands caused the magazine to shudder a little as he read some of the articles, and it became tempting to fly into some sort of an anger fit and crunch it into his grasp right then and there. However, a knock on his door causes him to look over, and he’s quicker to put it down and get up and answer it.
“Hello Ava….” Silver’s shoulders have a bit of a droop to him, he looks rather sullen, but steps back to let her in anyway.
Ava didn’t need any aura training to feel a difference in the mood from what she expected. It was obvious in Silver’s body language and voice that something was troubling him.
She stepped into his room quietly and carefully as not to disturb anything. Usually Ava was quick to make herself comfortable, but the feeling that hung around them made her stay standing. The room was a little messier than usual. She noticed that the closet door was open with magazines on the floor, signs of Silver’s rummaging before she arrived.
“Did something happen?” The Rocket grunt asked as she turned to look at him, concern already on her face. “What’s wrong?”
