It’s been a while!

Peter and I just had our 4th wedding anniversary yesterday and to celebrate we decided to drive to the city (instead of riding the train since we’re still leery of riding public transportations due to COVID) and visit the Natural History Museum. Personally it’s my favorite of museums in the city, with The Met being second, mostly because I love the pre-historic mammals and dinosaurs section. And lol at the fact that we played Animal Crossing a lot during the pandemic so it was hilarious to accurately point out all the names of the insects, fishes and other marine creatures. Thanks ACNH!

We also visited Levain bakery which apparently is known for their cookies but I fell in love with their blueberry muffins. It is just a dream! No pictures unfortunately because it has now found its home deep in my stomach. We had to go back and buy extra to take home for later (at this moment in time - I have just eaten one for breakfast so thank you past selves!).

It was definitely a great day in the city. Its completely replaced my last memory there, in which the last time I was in city was last year during the pandemic in April where I got installed in one of the city hospitals because they didn’t have enough staff to cover their ICU’s. It was just so awful, sometimes I can’t believe that was just last year. I’ve never seen the city so quiet, empty and lonely. One of the things I remember the most is driving in the Triborough bridge at 4am and again at 8pm and seeing the city skyline and I would legit have tears in my eyes. I have so much feelings still about last year its hard to reduce it all into just words. Anyway I’m rambling.

On a different note, I wanted to add that photo on the top left as an extra because we celebrated Teddy’s 4th birthday! He’s actually the cat with a yellow party hat complete with the look of terror haha. He’s just too heavy to carry under the birthday banner unlike Tori. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Finally today is Thursday, we’re about to head to another weekend. I hope that wherever you are, you’re surrounded by people that you love and things that make you happy🌻
