throwback to that time I was playing og Oblivion and this guy kept (unsuccessfully) trying to pickpocket a lady, and every time he failed she would stand up, yell "PICKPOCKET" at the top of her lungs, then start a conversation with him.

First thing's first in OG Oblivion:

Get the Jewel of the Rumare ring from that retired fisherman.

Fast travel your ass to Anvil.

Find Fin Gleam.

Congrats, you can now see in the dark! Everything else, including the Main Quest, is entirely optional.

When I started playing Oblivion a couple years ago (December 2023) I hyperfixated on it so hard that I was playing for at least 10 hours every day. That's a common occurrence for me, and would usually be considered normal (in my case at least), except for I was taking very short breaks every 10 minutes to eat a ton of flavor blasted extra cheddar goldfish. Because of that, for a while whenever I played Oblivion I would get a soul crushing craving for that specific type of goldfish. When I told my friend about this he said "you pavlov'd yourself with goldfish." I haven't been able to stop thinking about this the past few days.
