This movie blatantly plagiarized Hannibal Lecter and SAW. The damage tracking makes NO sense, someone will get stabbed directly in their brain or shot point blank in the face but is still alive to endure the next few blows. Multiple people come close enough to actually kill the clown but they never do and then he kills them. Not one iota common sense for any character and if I could unwatch this movie I would. Unoriginal and uninspired.

Two girls get stalked by a clown, and I will hand it to them, he is good and creepy. They get taken by him and then the dumb blonde gets sawed in half like the the old torture maneuver but he saws through her bones SO easily it’s stupid. Then the brunette has the opportunity to kill him and fucking doesn't. She is beating the hell out of him with a plank of wood screaming, "get up motherfucker!" instead of just fucking beating him to death when bang(!) he pulls out a gun! He shoots her in the leg, then the stomach, she is still crawling away when he shoots her in the fucking cheek which (point blank from a handgun) gives her a little hole and she is STILL breathing… enough time for him to go, reload, come back and shoot her like 12 more times in the face.
Usually psychopathic killers with all the costuming and such have rituals to there kills but this guy who is supposedly already an established killer moves from dissecting to axe murder to medieval torture to guns to blunt force trauma to skinning to suffocation to whipping to cannibalism and finally suicide, I mean it's RANDOM. The clown also sustains a lot of damage over the course of the evening but after a moment of rest he seems no worse for wear. Some bullshit goes down with the wacky homeless lady and the brunette girl's sister but the villain doesn't track for me. He doesn't seem the type to use a fucking gun and his motives are super unclear. Is it important that he scares his victims first? What is it about the killings that gets him off? It all just seems like violence but a gun seems a weird choice for him. Also he has mommy issues? Since fucking WHEN.
Rape warning af. THIS IS SAD AS HELL. This movie is a hard watch so only watch if you have a strong stomach (it is mainly child rape). I will not be making myself watch this movie again, once was more than enough but I still think it is important to post some sort of review for this film because people should not watch it without knowing what it is about. Please be advised.

TRIGGER WARNING CHILD RAPE. PLEASE CHECK OTHER REVIEWS FOR MORE.
A bunch of little girls kept in a house to be raped constantly until they fucking die. A deaf girl tries to take care of them but watches her friend get violently raped to death. Fuck man. The deaf girl gets away and is found by a man who goes to the house to fuck the girls. Fuck man.
Freaking gruesome. The injuries keep changing? The continuity is bad. The Exeter center shows no signs of a fire. Bad CGI. Gets really loud in some parts. It's just so obvious sometimes and then so random it's almost painful. Camera pans out to a lady statue more than it needs to before we know what it is. The twist is so obvious. One of the first lines in the movie is about her ass, which isn’t even very good (sorry).

I don't trust the girl. Wow, I was right. She's an evil fuck.
Starring Shannon from Lost season 1 and Superman from Smallville. And Sugar We’re Goin Down Swinging plays in this movie. The radio host doesn't sound like a radio host. Fog rolling in looks fake, green and blah. Nice long shower sex scene for no reason. Great female lead but unclear purpose for her (if she was the savior or a curse). I wasn't so satisfied with the ending but otherwise great acting and interesting film.

He doesn't recognize his own girlfriend's voice? Cheating bastard in a big sweater. Learned what flotsam and jetsam means (promptly forgot). Elizabeth doesn't belong on the island and Nick is the only one who understands that which is why she loves him, obviously. Weird shower sex scene turns into bad dreams and the word “Dane.” Fog starts to fuck shit up and things get interesting. Leprosy becomes a big part maybe just for the ability to have fucked up faces? Either way. Maggie Grace (Shannon from Lost, Elizabeth in this movie) looked hot as hell the whole time. Kicking ass with Selma Blair. Great actors. Ending with most of the forefathers' sons dying and then Maggie makes out with a ghost and then is a ghost? Very unclear but also, neat? Ends on an old photograph of her old time wedding to the ghost guy. Nice bait and switch having the audience think the founders were tragic heroes in the beginning.
Some men are sick f*cks. Clever movie. It sort of took a not so clever turn and it had maybe a few too many twists and turns but otherwise a good film. Glad it ended happy.

Some scummy hot dudes get a loft to share and fuck in (they fuck women, not each other). Things take a turn when a death or two happens there (shown in the very beginning).
One girl had killed herself there (which turned out to be a murder) and then the boy who loved her kills himself after realizing that she didn't die by his “gentle” hand, when his fucked up friend sliced her open he actually killed her. (Suicide warning if you choose to watch.) Come see Billy Butcher pre-Butcher!
Interesting film, certainly has artistic value perhaps more than a straight up horror film. Might even be able to help some people deal with grief. Fascinating camera work and effects, a lot of subtly mixed with the straight up scares. Certainly worth a watch, even those who do not usually watch scary movies! A great film.
Also, the Mr. Babadook book (or Bababook) is absolutely stunning as a book. Easily my favorite part of the movie.
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
A woman and her son are haunted by the memory of the lost father. It manifests itself in an amazingly scary book. Mom rips it up but it comes back, taped up and changed. Depicts her murdering her dog, her son, and herself. She lights the book on fire and it isn't seen again (but the Babadook is).The son is very weird and kind of annoying. Ends with them keeping the Babadook in the basement with all her husband's and the son's dads stuff. They feed him worms. If that makes him happy, so be it.
I'm biased as a female who grew up concerned about my purity in God's eyes so that fear and conformity was tangible for me. Watching these young women grapple with themselves, faith, their fathers, and the wild desires of youth, felt extremely genuine. The ending was slightly lackluster but the whole thing had me hooked. Beautiful, spooky, and ducked up. Nice to see that even in 2019-20 people are addressing the double standard for women wanting sex vs boys (who will be boys).

Half sisters go with Daddy dearest to cult camp, I mean church camp. The wildly handsome pastor is super nice and supportive until it comes down to how the bible feels about women. He does a very nice comparison that a woman who isn't "pure" is like chewed gum that no one will want because she is literally garbage (not true, ladies). Also they all wear white which is creepy/cute except the parts where their bras, cleavage, and shoulders can be seen in all their outfits. I went to a Christian camp, I had b-cups but was told I had to change out of my tank top because it was too saucy. The girls summon Lilith cause they need the guidance of a strong female lead (💁♀️) and the bitch shows up and is a fucking creep with a wide joker smile. Lillie is all over our protagonist who is scared at seeing her own reflection turn into that of a ginger (very scary).
Daddy pastors daughter is a little straight edge but still kisses a boy (and has a literal meltdown). Very cute scene where three of the girls hold each other. Reminds me of the crying scene in Midsommar only way more wholesome and just as hopeless. At the final ball, where they low key marry their dads and sign contracts, pastor's daughter admits to being impure, downs a full bottle of anxiety meds, and fucking SHOOTS HERSELF IN THE HEAD. This tragic event causes Lilith to unleash herself and just straight up murder all the dads. Shits wild. Then all the girls are just, like, fine their papas are dead, and go on a nice nature walk. Idk man lol. Still a good flick. I'm a sucker for hearing what I like to hear though. "Be a slut, do whatever you want."
A movie about some very rude teens being absolute dicks featuring Paris Hilton as a bad actor. An hour in is where things get interesting. Smart protagonist. Tough protagonist. Brother sister team! And a small twist! Really great film, only taking a star off because of the drawn out beginning and useless sex scene. Great concept for a movie. Love how the female protagonist treats the one antagonist, she talks to him like a human which is amazing for someone to do and it always feels like the thing a person thrown into that sort of situation would do.

Chad Michael Murray decides that Jared Padalecki is a good boyfriend (for his sister to date) but it's way too late for him. Some youngsters go to a creepy town made entirely of wax, (even the dogs? In the pet shop?) the people are dead people covered in wax. It's insane (and they cranked out Jared so fast!) but yeah, everyone dies except the brother and sister, the sister tries to reason with the one brother which was actually so human of her. Turns out there are 3 brothers… Twist. Good draw in for the creepy death pit dude.
