Tales of the Tmnt got cancelled and they're not happy :(

If I had a nickle every time a promising new and well animated tmnt show was cancelled after only 2 seasons when we could have had 4 to 7 seasons, I'd have 2 nickles.

Which may not be a lot to you.

But it's a lot to us Tmnt fans.

And this never should have happened twice.

In all seriousness I'm devastated at the loss of Tales of the Tmnt, this variation was just about to find its footing and then Nickelodeon takes it away from us.

And as a Rise fan it hurts even more considering all we as a fandom did to try and save the show. There were petitions and #saverottmmt became trending, it was admirable to see just how many people were trying to save Rise and yet it was cancelled and it's second season cut in half.

AND NOW AFTER ALL OF THAT, Nikelodeon still cancelled the next variation of the Turtles at around the same place in it's run. HAVE THEY LEARNED NOTHING? Did they not see the thousands of artworks and fancomics and petitions from the Rise fandom pleading with them to keep the show running? Fanworks that are still pleading with them TODAY?

And yet they've still been pumping out mediocre Spongebob movie after mediocre spongebob movie, pouring thousand to millions of dollars into that when most of the movies end up disappointing the fans they are trying to appeal to. It's frustrating as someone who grew up with OG Spongebob and watched the OG movie on repeat as a kid to see it become a sanitised peice of corporate slop. The style of Spongebob's original humor influenced my interest in the whole tmnt multiverse as well, which again, makes it all the more painful to see the thing I used to love as a kid destroy my other favourite cartoons.

And just look at this promo poster for the new spongebob movie.

Does this make anyone excited for the movie? I doubt it, most people watching it will be sinical and nostalgic movie enjoyers such as myself who will see it appear on Netflix and think "might as well" before being filled with the same empty feeling you get when you watch a clearly corporate and safe kids movie that does not even attempt to capture the joys that made the original so special.

I'm not going to say this new spongebob movie will be a complete slandering of the original and shouldn't have been made because frankly that kind of thinking from toxic nostalgia blind fans was what doomed rottmnt in the first place.

Im just absolutely furious at Nikelodean for canceling another Tmnt project in favor for another spongebob movie, it's clear thats all they really show on their channel anyway, tmnt 2012 is only ever on late at night when young kids would have probably gone to bed, and even then it's only one episode amist an abundance of spongebob, more specifically modern spongebob.

Anyway let's all mourn the loss of Tales of the tmnt and also mourn Rottmnt again because that show deserved better and also mourn the tragic downfall of Spongebob.

But most importantly.

Let's all stare angrily at Nikelodeon for mishandling another bloody series in favour for a franchise being milked beyond recognition.

I'm mad and disappointed.

Allright guys I ordered these mini bob and friends from ebay, they will be the stars of my new plush series and before you ask why am I useing such tiny toys its because if I use tiny plushies I can record more scenes outside the house and no one will know what im doing cause the plushies are small and unknoticeable.

Plus A 5 pack for $25 is better then me a spending over A $100 on retro stuff.

Plus $25 is not bad when normally these were sold for $5 each at five below so $25 for A 5 pack sounds about right.

And yes spongebob isnt wearing pants, just ignore that ok. I live in florida not gonna tell you wear but its hot and its perfectly normal in florida to see men walking in nothing but underwear or just swim trunks.

you just dont understand. The reason this is such A big deal that i still like the sponge is not gonna lie when the show began to suck it hurt.

Giving up my spongebob stuff because i couldnt stand how the show was going hurt.

Because again I liked the show so much growing up that i had A yellow room with spongebob stickers, i think A spongebob cd player, spongebob tv, clothes, toys, and cds.

So yeah back then i was patchy the pirate levels of fan.

Hell for years as A kid i had spongebob sheets that grandma rushed out to target to get me. Thats why me giving it up and coming back is such A big deal.

Ok i admit it i still like spongebob but only the older stuff. Just how i like smurfs and only the older stuff.

So im high and watching the og spongebob, and i had this horrribly amusing idea

Imagine is spongebob was actually seriously intelligent and cynical. But he played like he was stupid.

I just watched the pretty patties episode where krabs and squidward laugh at spongebob's idea of pretty patties.

Spongebob hurt, decides to run his own shop and obviously sucedes like he intended to. Then, when krabs realizes that spongebob is making serious money and tries to manipulate spongebob into trading the krusty krab (which has no revenue)for his very well off business...Spongebob knows what krabs is doing.

Under the pretenses of being nieve spongebob agrees. .....but not before having sabotaged the pretty patty formula.

Krabs goes on to sell his patties. But its not long before the mob has come to rip him to shreds in anger because their faces have been dyed purple. Their faces orange, and even a glow in the dark tongue.

Krabs has been framed. He runs away from the mob chasing after him inevitably to the krusty krab.

The doors are locked. Spongebob had intended for this the moment krabs has besmirched his idea. Instead of letting him in. Spongebob pretends to not hear his cries while rubbing two slices of pickles together.
