it's time you all start to play on my level.
because you're still not playing along, like you don't realize that i can make you look GUILTY. because i know all of your secrets...and greer's too.
because penny knew why greer left. and now she's DEAD.
....or maybe it was it penny's secret, that greer knew ??
either way, secrets are DANGEROUS. and you're all keeping so, so many. including two of your so called FRIENDS who played the game pretty well tonight. two of your peers who decided what i'm going to tell you....
someone planned to leave before THE GOLDEN GIRL did. a fight, some jealousy, and a plan dragged into the open for greer to sabotage. to steal. shaking off expectations, and leaving to start a new life as their true self. except for they are still here. and greer is not. but at least they're still living, which is more than someone else can say for the person they got in a fight with. a confession to THE GOLDEN GIRL, to something she could relate - a stalker of sorts, who go to close. close enough that the only solution was to give them a little shove. straight into the water in which they drowned.
such BURDENS for the golden girl to bear.

Since the return to campus, a small memorial had been building up for Penny along one of the flowerbeds in the quad, only continuing to grow in the days since the memorial the school had put on. Flowers, notes, photos - students dropped their offerings where the shrine had been put together. The students who were all at the chalet where Penelope had been found seemed to have mixed reactions - hurrying by with their eyes averted, stopping every time they crossed through the quad, acting like it simply didn't exist. If they didn't go out of their way to avoid it.
And then, a few days after the memorial, when the shrine had nearly tripled in size with all of the things people had left, some realized that there could be info there. Some sort of answers about what happened.
Or at least G did.
Whether they left the note there or not, they're the one who texted PARKER WALSH, suggesting she take her time reading through all dedications that had been left. No other way of knowing what secrets people were willing to spill to a dead girl...

The students had all been at THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY's winter trip for a few days, doing the best to put the past behind them and enjoy their holiday, when all of their phones chimed, buzzed, light up with a message.
g: don't you wonder being in the last place greer was known to be seen... g: and with everyone who had something to do with her leaving here.... g: what there must be to find...
It left the students who had been invited on edge, as they so often had been for the past year and a half. It hadn't gone unnoticed by perhaps anyone that they were at the place of the last party THE GOLDEN GIRL had been confirmed to be at was, a morbid reminder of her disappearance and alleged death, but perhaps the best place to try to put her memory to rest.
And now, with the taunting reminders....perhaps, get answers at last. Even if they still didn't know who from.
THE WINTER BREAK TRIP
Thanks to THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY's genoristy and continuing presence at the center of all social circles, all students who were close to THE GOLDEN GIRL (or at least appeared to be and maybe some mistakes) have been invited out to the Hamptons. It's the offseason - so whilst many people are jetting off to ski resorts or warm islands, the beaches are deserted, quiet, and covered in snow.
Perfect to celebrate the end of a year - and most importantly, honor Greer's life, of course.

In the past year, it had become an unfortunately familiar sight to see FBI agents and a police force, in addition to the campus security, around Ogden College. In the recent months, it was the only sign that the idyllic surface of the campus was nothing but a front, clearly hiding a dark side that had started to expose itself to students who had been close to the missing GOLDEN GIRL.
A dark side that had apparently been discovered by none other than the anonymous person that had christened themselves G.
But since returning this year, since Greer's disappearance had been marked a cold case, things had been...quiet.
Too quiet.
Even with the quiet, the gradual increase of the security presence on campus over the past few weeks seemingly went unnoticed by most. Until one day in mid-November, it seemed the campus was swarmed by them again. It was a random Wednesday, everyone waking that morning and wondering what had happened - wasn't the case no longer actively being investigated ??
Luckily - or perhaps not - it didn't take long for the explanation to come in, the campus wide alert system going off on everyone's phone that afternoon.
ALERT : REASON TO SUSPECT DISAPPEARANCE OF GREER MORRISON IS DUE TO HER DEATH.
PERHAPS MAY BE CONNECTED TO OTHER OGDEN STUDENTS. PLEASE BE ALERT ON CAMPUS AND REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.
As if it couldn't get worse, shortly afterwards, another message arrived on a select few students phones. But this one was somehow from someone even less welcome.
g: this is no longer a missing persons case. g: it's a murder investigation.

BREAKING NEWS:
MISSING STUDENT IS A COLD CASE - CAMPUS DEATHS DISMISSED AS UNRELATED
Just about a year after Ogden College student Greer Morrison was declared missing, the news has come that the team investigating her disappearance has said the case is cold. Despite information coming in, they have no further paths to investigate, and will no longer be actively searching for her. This comes at a tulmutous time for the college, with two students having passed away in the past year as well. When questioned, the investigators have said those deaths have been dismissed as unrelated to the disappearance of Morrison, and there is no foul play suspected.
If anyone has any information, they may send tips still.
As the weather started to creep further into fall with a chill in the air, the campus suspiciously calm in the wake of everything that had happened, the news came that was perhaps the last thing any of the students were expecting. THE GOLDEN GIRL was still missing, THE POLLYANNA had been arrested, and those are the fates you'd wish for in comparison to that of THE TEACHER'S PET or THE SIREN. After the threats that had been leveraged at all of them, it seemed...too easy for this all to be dismissed, set aside as if nothing happened.
Of course, they should've known it was too good to be true.
Because, after months of silence....
Phones started to buzz.
g: no foul play ?? do they think THE SIREN really just fell ?? that THE TEACHER'S PET was covered in blood because she froze to death ?? they may say that these are accidents, that THE GOLDEN GIRL just disappeared... g: well i'm here to tell you they weren't accidents. greer didn't leave because she wanted to. g: maybe she left because of what i know. g: maybe she left because .... [check your submits !!!] g: maybe....you know as well as i that that’s only part of it. g: but now someone else knows too. g: ...you didn’t think really i’d spill a secret without telling yours too, did you ?? g: play your cards right and maybe i’ll tell you who you need to watch out for. play them wrong ?? you might be the next to go.

While at first, some people denied the smell of smoke in the Commons - or perhaps assumed it was a student lighting up somewhere they shouldn't have been (though who could really blame them at the moment ??) - only continued to grow stronger. Students began to cough, the haze of the smoke having snuck up slowly enough they didn't realize that it was starting to fill the space. But soon enough, unmistakably visible from the windows at the front of the building....
Those were flames.
Once they realized the building was in fact on fire and they went to leave, the students found that the blaze of flames were blocking the main entrance, resulting in the need to find alternative ways out. They could climb out a window, attempt to make their way back through the smoke filled building to use one of the back or side doors, or try to get past the flames without getting burnt.
All while thinking...there was no way this was a coincidence. But that also would have to mean that they had been lured there.
And someone had set the blaze.
