Bennett shook his head, slamming his bedroom door shut. Leaning back on it, he drew in a long breath. Of course you do, he mumbled.

Benny, please don’t be like that. I’m really sorry if I make you feel like you aren’t important to me. You are. You are more important to me than all of those other things combined. I’m just not always so good at showing you I guess. I just... I’ll talk to you later, okay babe? the older boy assured him, his tone sincere & caring.

Without another word, the redhead disconnected the call before returning the sentiment. He closed his eyes, a tightness in his chest when he heard Ezra say that he loved him. Slowly he slid down the wooden door until he was on the ground. When he opened his eyes again, he could feel them stinging as the tears started to form. Suddenly the weight of the situation came crashing down on him & he wanted to run & hide. 

God, I’m a horrible person, he whispered to himself as he tossed his phone down by his feet, burying his face in his hands.
