My dad: What would like with your beans? Me: What? My dad: I meant what would you like with your beans? Me: You mean my dinner? My dad: Yes. That.
My dad asking me what I'd like with the sausages.
Me: *Belts out "Dream On" as parents try to watch a movie*
Father: Your daughter is singing Led Zeppelin.
Mum: That's Aerosmith, dear.
'God humbles the proud.'--Dad
I'm still speechless and in awe with what has transpired in Japan. No matter how flowery my following words will be, it can never be enough to uplift the mourning of the rest of the world.
And as cliche as this may seem, the only thing that any of us can do is to PRAY.
No one is indeed an exception when Mother Nature takes its toll.
Natural calamities aside, I have also noticed one thing. It hasn't even been a quarter of the year but the sad things happening in the world has been insurmountable at best. It feels like when it's not a natural calamity we're dealing with, it's either a civil war to topple down a dictator or unrest because of injustices. And it is noteworthy that these happens to the 'religion-less' and developed countries.
Don't get me wrong. I know for a fact that religion or a belief in a Supreme being that governs all creation is something that you don't impose to other people, but have you ever noticed how a predominantly Catholic country like the Philippines always gets spared in times like these? All I'm saying is that, faith in someone you can't touch or see doesn't take up a lot of energy, so there's nothing wrong if we reach out to Him and pray.
The message is simple, really: When all else fails, PRAY.
Maybe, just maybe, Japan needs to rely not just on their capabilities to produce bad a** technology. Maybe, just maybe, GoD wants them to take a second of their time to glorify His name.
Keep safe everyone! And PRAY.:)
We're spared again. Filipinos, be thankful!:)
Dad: "What's that you're always busy with? Twitter? I'll also make one, to see what the fuss is about."
Me: @-) @_@ :o *internal bleeding*
NOWHERE IS SAFE. OMG.
Dad came over and gave me a good night kiss on my head.
Seemed like ages ago when he last did that. Considering he was in a bad mood with me yesterday.lol
