Meet Lil Nibs! I’ve decided that’s his name, I think it’s a good fit. Can you believe those little baby antler nubbins???

I took these out the office window with my DSLR 50mm, so he was super super close, but alas we were separated by wall & window. What an absolute cutie! I think I’m gonna try to take more DSLR photos, I don’t have a long lens and have other financial things to prioritize but I think these turned out pretty well even despite the window panes etc!

Hope to see more of Lil Nibs and his family soon. He’s got a sister and a mom, I’m wondering what to name them. Lil Sibs is cute, but I’d like sister’s naming to hold her own beyond her relationship to Nibs.

Deer Diary,

I noticed the fawn on the right has little forehead nubbins which might be baby antlers!! I am absolutely amazed. I took these Thursday afternoon post-breakfast photos. I took the chair further out in the yard (but still far against side of fence allowing them a clear exit) and they seemed mostly ok with that.

I also took some DSLR photos this morning of the forehead nubbins!!!!
