Ok you’ve officially achieved it, Scully - I feel so so sorry for our poor FD Draco already (!) - because of this:

The Headmistress stood and Hermione scrambled up as well. Draco started to rise, but McGonagall put out a hand. "Mr. Malfoy, will you remain for a few moments?" Her manner changed again and Hermione noted her stern look give way to something softer.

Ahh if McGonagall feels sorry for whatever Draco has been forced into then it has to be SO GOOD and it makes me giddy with anticipation of future chapters. I love Falling Dark so much!!!The lack of Draco’s perspective so far makes it even more amazing, but I was wondering if you could give us a sentence/ a word/ a syllable on how he is feeling/ what he is doing/ what was he thinking looking at Hermione outside McGonagall’s door?

Of course I completely understand if you can’t, I’m just going to go and listen to Sting’s Desert Rose and imagine that this is how our Draco is feeling all the time now 💔🥺

A word or a sentence when Draco saw Hermione outside the headmistress's door... I think I could sum it up with: LONGING. Defined by dictionary.com as, "a yearning desire," and by the good old Oxford English as, "a strong feeling of wanting something/somebody." And don't miss Merriam Webster coming in hot with, "a strong desire especially for something unattainable: a craving."

Whew is it hot in this hallway or is it me??

She repeats ‘Oh Draco...’ in a very condescending way whenever she thinks Draco is being daft, which often involves Potter.

Ohhh. I forgot how awful Draco’s initial conversation with Harry is. Classism and racism all neatly on display in a few short sentences. And it’s all so  . . . innocent is not the right word.
