The Failed Heist (Drive 2011) Character/Scene Analysis
Okay, shifting gears (haha) away from Blade Runner 2049 analysis for a moment (or a bit, I'm not sure yet. I did read the script for Only God Forgives, and dear lord do I have some thoughts), I took a look at Drive. @t00muchanxiety and @emptyingthespiral helped me choose which scene to look at first; the winner was the failed heist with Standard. Yay pain for all!
So, I go over pieces of the book (published in 2005), the script, and the movie for this bad boy. This was 25 pages in my google docs, but a little shorter once I converted it into a PDF.

I filtered in a lot about the book(s) because I love them so much, so I hope this is coherent.
Driver is such a unique character, and I could probably write more about him (especially his book counterpart), but I tried to keep it aligned with just this sequence and the major moments (across the medias used) surrounding it.
@arkh4m-217 requested Drive for me to do after Blade Runner, so here you go :)
Also, please don't mind the watermarks on the edges of the clips- unfortunately it was the only video I could find of the entire sequence, not just the chase afterwards.
