Oc asks Appearance 11, Objects 12, and Mind Body Soul 6 for Five?
11: Is your character’s favorite color a color they wear often?
Ahaha. Five is actually stupidly sentimental about colour, and he's obsessed with Thirteen; he might not have given a second thought to 'favourite' colours before knowing him, but since then the hawkbat's purple and gold have definitely made their way quite consistently into Five's wardrobe, or green to match Thirteen's eyes. Most notably is in the cybernetic arm he had personally designed and commissioned once he finally came to terms with the fact that his real arm was gone- this was a big deal for him, and he wound up opting for form over function, with a finish that resembles white porcelain, with elegant patterns in purple and gold swirling across it.
12: Does your character personify objects?
I think Five would only really do so in the most ordinary kind of way, like saying 'oh she really turns heads, doesn't she?' when referring to his favourite speeder, or perhaps during one of his moments of feeling particularly poetic about things or wanting to use flowery language to impress, but that would be completely detached from his actual feelings (or lack thereof) toward the object in question.
6: How well does your character act under pressure?
Aaahahaha WELL. In general. As a rule. The man is quite exceptional under pressure. He learned to bottle things up and keep a cool head as a matter of survival when he was very young, and it was a skill that he carried into adulthood, helped him shine in his early jobs and eventually landed him his career with Imperial Intelligence. He lives and breathes deception and manipulation, and for most of his life his driving goal was to attain perfect, unquestionable control over every aspect of his life- so staying calm, collected and above it all at all times has been pretty much essential.
Of course this means when his hubris catches up with him, or when he's found himself unexpectedly emotionally compromised, and he actually does crack under pressure? There's an awful lot there ready to explode.

the handler: why would you want to stop the apocalypse? why would you want to save the world?

@imthebutler
Alfred walked a slow circle around where he had Edward Nygma tied to a chair. “Nygma..” He stopped in front of him, hands going behind his back. “Or what nonsense is it you’re calling yourself these days? The Riddler?”
The old soldier knelt down in front of his captive, looking up at the man in the flashy green suit.
“Now. What exactly would bring you to my house, sunshine?”
Ed had seen the butler around several times when he’d still worked with the GCPD. From what he’d seen, the man was rather devoted to the boy. The was a pause before Nygma started struggling in frustration.
“YES. The Riddler---Why is that so hard for people to understand? It’s not a hard name to get through your thick skulls,” he grumbled as he tried to squirm and flail his feet out to get loose. It did nothing but make him look silly and exhaust him. “I am here to see ‘Bruce’. So where is he!?”
Marina: Five?

Marina: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!
Day 2: A Favourite Book or Audio
I’m going to do both a book and an audio, because making me chose between one or the other is horrible. XD
Favorite Audio: Actually, choosing just one audio is hard. There are so many good ones. You’ve got Doctor Who and the Pirates, Holy Terror, Arrangements For War, Kingmaker, The One Doctor, Sympathy for the Devil, and all the UNIT and everything... Really, I can and have made lists of my favorites and must listens with Big Finish. But if I must pick only one, I’m going to have to go with Spare Parts.
What I love about Spare Parts is that it’s one of the very few stories that has managed to capture just how terrifying the Cybermen are. There have been many stories about the Cybermen, but they’ve fallen in as a sort of ‘Monster of the week’ that is just another alien for the Doctor to beat rather than this brilliantly terrifying idea of human 2.0. And Spare Parts goes right back to the start of the Cybermen, using the same sort of creepy, sing-song voices that they had in Tenth Planet, while connecting it to the true horror of a people who were only trying to save themselves. It’s Five and Nyssa and it makes me cry when I listen to it, and it’s just so well written and well done. I’ve listened to a great many of the Big Finish audios, and it’s still on the top of my lists. I need to listen to it again. XD
Books! This decision is not as tough, considering I could never actually make it through a good portion of them. I tried, I really did, but some of those were a bit much for me to take. XD First off, let me give a shout out to David A. McIntee and The Dark Path and The Face of the Enemy. Love or hate how he handled the Master’s plotlines, he was amazing with character voices and it helped me a lot in ‘Mastering’ my Delgado Master voice.
But what I’m here to talk about is Deadly Reunion by Terrance Dicks and Larry Betts. Let me start off by saying this book is very hard to get into, because the beginning is just hard to read. I very nearly put it down a few times because it was just too muddled. However, once it gets going, the problems at the start sort of even out and you get glorious things like Young Brig falling in love with Persephone (yes, the Goddess), young Brig taming Cerberus, young Brig being completely awkward with the whole romancing bit, young Brig in bondage, gratuitous Delgado Master who has no real point to being in the book other than to bat his eyelashes and ask the Doctor for a drink, the Master in way over his head with a Summoning Gone wrong, epic proposals to rule time and space, and so, so much delicious crack. Like, this book has so much crack that it’s glorious. Here’s an example:
Jo looked contrite. 'I suppose I thought you might disapprove. I thought you were anti-pop if anything.'
The Doctor looked offended. 'I'll have you know, Jo, that in my younger days, my much younger days, I played lead perigosto stick for the Gallifrey Academy Hot Five - until the Faculty closed down. The Master was on drums.'
So much beautiful crack. XD
Like, I won’t say it’s a great book, but it’s cracky and surprisingly in character (or unsurprisingly, considering the era-show runners were writing it), and the Brigadier is adorable and needs cuddles. And I am really, really here for Adorable Brigadier who needs cuddles.
Plot bunnies
So in looking for the aforementioned Master in disguise as Tony fic, I found this little gem in my files:
"Okay, so the Master has the Doctor and Donna captured and is gloating. He's testing out a bit of the Lazarus tech and something goes wrong... And Ten gets turned back into Five. Which the Master won't argue with, since he rather likes that regeneration, but he's not the one who's really in control of the situation and they all end up captured. And Five is still in Ten's suit and mourning the lack of celery. I imagine the whole progress of the rest of the plot would be a bunch of times he nearly got celery, then when he finally gets it either Donna or the Master decides Tegan had the right of it and stuffs it in his mouth. And the fun bits with Donna having to explain to her that yes, this is the same Doctor and regeneration is a normal thing."
It's a pity I suck at writing Fivey.
