Does Jackie have ocd or regular intrusive thoughts

I don’t think she can be diagnosed with anything. I say intrusive thoughts, but they’re probably better described as compulsive urges that she suppresses. She knows it’s wrong, and wishes she didn’t think it, but deep down knows that is who she is as a person.

I'm realizing some people see Jackie as petulant and weak, where I see her as just 'a girl' (a sweet, kind, optimistic girl) and 'not a survivor' (and tbh, not very interested in surviving).

I keep thinking of her pathetic "I don't belong here".

No, you didn't, Jackie. You belonged at home, writing in your diary, and waiting for college to start so you'd have an excuse to dump your boyfriend.
