So Dale was getting used to this whole roommate thing. Or he would be. He had brought what little he had brought from Boston to Swynlake to here in this dorm space. It was wild. He almost wanted to turn to his brother and geek out about the space with him, and about finding a perfect little nook to nap in after classes. 

But his brother was figuring out his own college stuff. Plus, Dale supposed it would be a little lame if he just brought his brother in to meet his roommate on day one. Not that Dale thought Chip was lame. Chip was the coolest person ever! 

Either way, Dale got to the dorm first which meant like...picking the spot he liked right? He hoped so. He didn’t really know the rules about dorming or whatever. Dale debated for a moment and then settled for the spot that was close to the window and not the door. Windows were great, there were so many areas a borrower could crawl through.

Dale grinned and sat down on the bed, bouncing a little on it. It was still a little strange to be human sized and sit on one of these instead of curl up under one. But whatever. It was still a cool experience! Suddenly the doorknob turned and Dale twisted around to face...his new roomie? 

“Hey man! You must be Phineas.”

It had been a long time in coming, but the day finally was here. Louie and Phineas were going to launch their app! He’d been so stoked he’d hardly slept the night before, tossing and turning wondering just how successful they’d be, how soon til they’d end up really awesome millionaires.

In any case, he and Phineas had agreed to meet up at [Name Redacted], where Louie found himself fidgeting in his seat. He’d already drank like...two coffees and one hot chocolate so he was feeling extra wired. But it was fine! They were going to launch a business! 

Louie took a sip at his hot chocolate and then grinned as he finally caught sight of Phineas. “Dude over here! What took you so long? We’ve got a business to launch.”

Henrose!!

When they first met Rose fully intended on befriending Henry to use as a “normal student friend” excuse for if she was hunting and people asked where she was. 

Henry was shocked when he found out Rose was working with the Order because she’s a girl! Girls aren’t Princes! The Huntsclan is so barbaric for making girls kill stuff! And Rose was shocked to find out he was in the Order because she thought he was too pretentious to do any dirty work. But they warmed up to the thought of the other pretty fast. 

He was the first person Rose told about her break up with Tom. Henry severely disappointed her with his reaction. She was already angry and upset and would have pushed it further if she wasn’t scared he’d choose Tom over her and she’d lose him as a friend immediately. So she gave up on making him understand because she didn’t want to be truly alone.

Phil told her that Henry’s family is kind of a joke in the Order of the Prince. She never said anything to Henry to save his pride. She thinks the Fae are a valid threat, but not as much as Henry does. Rose thinks the entire Order is a bit dumb for flaunting their full, true names constantly.

Phony:

Because Tony always insists on sitting in the back of SSIC meetings he’s the one distracting Phineas a lot of the time. Not usually on purpose, though, just by being, like, expressive facially about the topics.

If Phineas is already seated at lunch when Tony walks by his table he will oftentimes swipe, like, a single fry off the guy’s tray just because it’s funny.

Despite going through these classes so many times, Phineas is just better at math than Tony is which drives him up the wall when they get their tests back. Grades don’t even matter to Tony anymore, just being behind Phineas bothers him.

A common response when people talk shit about Phineas around Tony in the hallways or something is “Well I owe the dude a life debt now so I guess the bloke’s alright.”

Devanna: 

Devyn googled popular Norwegian studying playlists when they started going out so that they could play proper music for Anna to study to. They aren’t sure what it would sound like (or what the difference might be) but they hope it helps.

Devyn is definitely always oversharing with their brothers about how much they adore Anna. Devyn asks them for advice over text message, gushes about their dates, and sends the group chat every photo the pair takes or just that Devyn takes of Anna.

Despite being a Native to Swynlake, Devyn mucked up his order at Chippamunka’s the first time they went there for a late-night-post-study-snack and accidentally ordered the biggest sundae the restaurant offers. They’ll take it to their grave that it was an accident but it was probably pretty clear based on their face when it arrived.

Devyn always makes sure to send Anna a “Good morning! 💜” text message. Since the Texas AU it has since been changed to “Good Morning!! 💜🌻”

Hevyn:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Devyn loves to go to Henry’s acapella shows!!! They have no idea what’s going on but watching Henry and the other Gentlemen do their little boogies in their little suits brings Devyn so much joy. Go, White Boy, Go!

Oftentimes when Devyn asks Henry for advice it isn’t even because they necessarily need the help but because they’ve kind of realized Henry likes to feel like he’s helping. Devyn doesn’t mind if it can bring that confident smile back to Henry’s face.

Devyn brings Henry some homemade meals from Mama Morey when exams loom in the near future. Devyn knows a homecooked meal always helps them relax and can’t imagine being so far away from their family like he is.

Devyn is fully convinced that Henry likes painting despite not being in the Painting Society and tries every week to get Henry to join them. Devyn thinks Henry’s probably just shy.

They get late dinner after SDG practice sometimes and Henry now has a go-to Imperial Palace order.

Phineas and Mei:

they have a shared spotify playlist that they put music on that they want the other to listen to.

sometimes they do really stupid competitions like who can eat the most ice cream the fastest and get VERY competitive about it -- linda has banned such competitions from the house.

they actually have very abrasive personalities and argue quite a bit, but bc they were in the play that really just solidified their relationship and they get over tiffs pretty quickly.

i feel like they’re gonna be those friends that will always kind of have this like “what if things had been different...” vibe 

Vixey and Tiana:

they text a lot and are actually pretty gossipy. vixey will be like “omg simba has been in the market 3 times this week because he keeps forgetting things lol” and tiana will be like “i think two of my employees are into each other but not sure.” just kind of have a continual text thread.

soul cycle friends!! after which they always grab smoothies from hatter’s and drink them on the patio, laughing about how they’re probably undoing all the work they just did.

i feel like they have the potential to butt heads tbh, but because of where they both are in their lives right now, they’re vibing pretty hard right now.

vixey is sad that tiana is a lesbian only because she wants her to marry harish so they can be sisters. but, maybe she could set her up with her little sister instead...

Candace and Henry:

out of all our bestie ships, these two confuse people the most. henry is the straightest straight man and candace is Very Gay.

however, candace finds henry being Super Straight just...extremely endearing. she doesn’t really correct him all that much when he does stupid Straight Boy shit because she just finds it hilarious. himbo and wlw solidarity. 

this isn’t a hc but why are all our best friends always fighting? candace misses henry a lot. she probably took him a little for granted as a friend because he’s kind of like a golden retriever, but now she misses him :(

candace has convinced a drunk henry to let her paint his nails. this is canon. i dont care.
