happiness is a butterfly lana del rey
Do you want me or do you not? I heard one thing, now I'm hearing another Dropped a pin to my parking spot The bar was hot, it's 2AM, it feels like summer
Happiness is a butterfly Try to catch it like every night It escapes from my hands into moonlight Every day is a lullaby Hum it on the phone like every night Sing it for my babies on the tour life Ah-ah If he's a serial killer, then what's the worst That can happen to a girl who's already hurt? I'm already hurt If he's as bad as they say, then I guess I'm cursed Looking into his eyes, I think he's already hurt He's already hurt
If bedbugs reside in beds,
Where do cockroaches reside?
AH FUCK I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’VE DONE THIS
The swaying branches of the willow fell like a table cloth, curling lower. That was not a mourner, but some kind of soldier--likely a high-ranking one, by her decorated regalia. With an orchid face, she turned in their direction.
“Report, sentry.”
(”...Report?”)
And after a period of silence, she approached closer, moving herself directly under the tree. As a warning, the tree groaned, but it was not Anda’s doing.
“I know you’re up there, Dryad. Show yourself.”
...Tentatively, they did.
“...Did I do something wrong?” “I’m not in the mood for fae games.” “N-no, I don’t... I woke up here. I’m not...”
That was quite a glare she gave them. But the willow swayed once more, breeze carrying whispers of sincerity.
“...I see. Likely Xalphina’s doing, if this is powerful memory magic. What do you know, Dryad.” “Literally nothing. I have no idea where I am. I don’t even know what I am.” “Usually not this talkative.” (”Oh...”)
In short, curt statements, Officer Orchid had reminded them of their duty--to watch the river and the forests for any spies and saboteurs that would mean to do harm to Diapool and Her Majesty, Queen Aleida. Failure to do so would be punishment by death.
“...By what?” “At this time, it is too dangerous to exile. So failure to perform as needed results in termination of your life.” “W-wait you, can’t really do that, can you?!”
To demonstrate, she pulled a burlap sack from her belt, holding it pointedly and threateningly... Though Anda’s lack of expertise on fantasy lore didn’t make them seem very afraid of it. In response, a pinch of the iron shavings were tossed in their direction--and the cry and retreat into the branches of the willow at their sting told them all they needed to know about that.
“Are we clear, Dryad?” (”My name is Anda...”) “I said Are We Clear, Dryad.” “Clear!” “Good.”
And to the tree (not to Anda, they noticed!) she gave a nod and walked off. It was only when she was gone that Anda emerged from the bark again, rubbing the freckle-like burns left by the iron.
“...I don’t like her at all.”
The branches swayed. She’s only performing her duty. These people are afraid.
“Of what?”
Sinking back into the tree, they felt the mood of this plot of land. The fallen that nurtured the tree, the fires that have licked at its branches every so often. The swords, arrows and bolts, the cries of war...
“...Oh.”
Slowly, the burns began to tingle, as if the tree itself were drawing the wounds out of their body.
“...I don’t like this.” ... “I hope everyone else is okay.”
i’m not gonna say It but this is in front of my house
