Have you seen Hocus Pocus?
once on a rly tiny 20 inch tv from across a room
was super cute A+ would watch again!!!
What is the story with your twitter?
Okay so, my old Twitter was never used, it basically was my first foray into social media back in 2011 where I racked up about 1500 tweets in three months before coming over to tumblr full time almost.
In the process, I used it to reach out and connect with a lot of friends/others I knew irl, because until 2012 I didn’t have a Facebook. Which was fine, but then Twitter became this place where everyone knew me and had a certain expectation level of how I would present myself, whether that was as a professional or as they had known me previously. To be honest on there about how I felt and thought about various topics would be to open up and let a lot of people in to my life on a level that, frankly, I wasn’t comfortable with, nor need I be.
So I “rerolled.” Deleted it, remade with the same handle and email, and now I’m basically just following a lot of Hearthstone related accounts.
I’m still not 100% certain how I want to use my Twitter—to stay relevant, it should be different from how I use tumblr and Facebook. Which is why I’m trying to find Hearthstone related things to follow. Maybe it can become more of an outlet for my various interests, and who knows if I end up getting good at the game (I’d like to at least hit legend before I pretend to have skills) maybe I’ll stream on Twitch.tv someday.
And of course the icon is the Mayor from Homestuck because dammit look how cute he is :’) I still need a banner picture as well but nothing suitable has come to mind yet, hence just the pink wall.
For anyone who wants to follow it (mind you I don’t even think I’ve tweeted yet!) it’s @LewisJLF
Okay. What is your opinion of Star Wars episode 1-3?
I assume you mean the prequels and not the original trilogy.
Episode 1 is a cute kids movie. Show it to little children, watch them fall in love with Jar Jar Binks. Anakin is a young hero that you can follow along with—I remember seeing the movie being the same age as him and how wicked cool that was. You can honestly skip this movie and it will have almost 0 impact on the story and your understanding of it. Though it has the best lightsaber duel out of any of the six movies thus far hands down plus the score for that scene is one of the best.
Episode 2 tries to be more serious with some light hearted moments. Ewan McGregor kinda carries the film. Gives you a hint of the massive CGI to come. Overall I enjoy this movie the most out of the prequels even though the chemistry between what’s-his-but that plays Anakin and Natalie Portman is borderline terrible (their romance is so forced and awkward why oh god). I’d sit and rewatch.
Episode 3 is my least favorite. Every moment falls flat. The movie feels rushed, the CGI isn’t believable, we all know how the movie is going to end so we’re not invested in the outcome, and everything that happens in the middle isn’t engaging enough to make us care about how it all came to be. The most emotional moment is when Anakin as the Darth Vader that we all know and love screams out in agony from his metal prison—it gives a new side to a character we already had an understanding of. Before entering the suit, Anakin feels more like a moody teenager and less like a Jedi Knight. His conversion to the dark side happens so quickly that it almost feels like a terrible joke. Everything he does after makes us scratch our heads and wonder how believable it would be that someone would go from wanting to end war and bring peace to slaughtering innocent children so quickly. We needed to see more of the emotional and mental breakdown that lead him to think he could bring peace by helping Lord Sidious, and instead it feels like a temper tantrum that he over committed to. I have seen this movie one time since watching it in theaters and it only reinforced how much I really felt let down by this one. Even if the pacing could just be fixed I think I would at least tolerate it. But the CGI would still kill it for me.
Seriously the original three are so much better. Yes the first one suffers from a lack of venues (let’s see there’s the desert, Mos Eisley, the Millennium Falcon, the Death Star, aaaaaaaand like a briefing room on Yavin IV, the hangar there, and a large ceremony room. I don’t think I missed anything), but there’s still a certain magic to it. The second one tells a masterful story, builds the plot, and the ultimate climax leaves us shaken with the ending uncertain and us wanting more, a great sign that we have engaged with the story and characters. The sixth one is thrilling and the space battle for the time was amazing (and I prefer it to the opening sequence from RotS hands down). The conclusion was fulfilling and we all left happy.
Moral of the story is: George Lucas can create a good story, just don’t let him be the director :/
I just want you to know that you are an amazing human being and to anyone who says different, I will yell at them horribly.
Don’t yell, it’s bad for your voice. Maybe settle for a stern lecture.
But I appreciate the sentiment nonetheless <3
Where did the other videos go?
Hi there! The prologue videos are still on the March Family Letters channel under a playlist right here.
Hi! How are you?
well my boss rage texted me and made me rework the schedule for next week so that I’d have a day off and I’m not exactly happy with the results but I guess it’ll work :/ so I mean there’s that
Well drunk me has no more of a clue where I'm going in life than sober me. How are you?
Bit tired. Just came from a long week, going into a longer week (hours wise). Plus by the end of this period we’ll have lost two servers and three cooks in the snap of a finger like usually turnover is slow but everyone suddenly either moved or got offered full time jobs plus benefits all at the same time it’s crazy.
