What's your favorite "uncommon" emotional experience? Like for me I really enjoy getting a surreal sensation.
I oddly enjoy partial dissociation. Not so far as to when I feel like I’m walking two or even five steps behind myself, but the dissociation where I can look objectively at myself and the world around me. It allows me to consider perspectives that my emotions might otherwise block or dull, to examine myself more clearly, and lets me write poems that I honestly enjoy writing the most. They don’t always stand up to my own scrutiny later, but the act of creation in that moment is thrilling, even as I am fully detached from that thrill in the moment.
I enjoy the sensation of objectivity and truthfulness, tho I dislike immensely the sense of isolation it brings. If you catch me just liking posts on tumblr, and then later reblogging a bunch of posts from earlier that day that I already liked, there is a chance something like that was going on. I think about it as “temporarily not wanting to exist,” which is a hell of a lot different that wanting to be dead. It’s like wanting to fade out of existence for a while so you can just watch the world instead of feeling constantly obligated to participate.
GOOD QESUSTION FAM THANKS!~ :D
