It was evening when the festival began. The sky was lit up by the full moon and the streets lit up by paper lanterns. Her ear drums rang with the singing of folk songs and her index finger tapped the wooden surface of the table accordingly as she watched the dancers glide across the street.
When the girl glanced around, she noticed that everyone seemed to be in the company of another. It wasn't strange since the festival celebrated friendships and bonds. However, she felt terribly out of place with no one to call her companion.
Her cheeks were dusted pink when she realized that she may be the only one to be alone. She sat quietly and hid in the shadows of the parasol above her head before she caught sight of someone who seemed to be as companion less as she was. She got up, albeit reluctantly, as she made her way to the stranger. Her index finger tapped lightly on the figure's shoulder before she smiled and introduced herself. "I'm Minah. Mind if I join you?"
