How in the absolute hell did this even happen? So many people would ask that question. Even Nikko was asking that question to themself. They were fighting Himiko Toga, a league of villains member. No one in their right mind would be listening to what she was saying and be responding to her. But there they were, doing that with her.

And some things she said... they hated their empathic heart sometimes, but they understood. To have a quirk hated, family wanting their quirk suppressed.

Despite the cuts and injuries they gave each other, the hero and villain somehow found themselves sitting on the building they found on, breathing heavy from adrenaline and fighting so hard. Nikko covered a particularly deep slash on their arm, sitting away from Himiko but still listening to her.

It stung, how much they understood her.

They took off their mask, holding it in their free hand as they looked down to the city below. They took in a deep breath.

“...I know what it’s like,” They started. They looked at the gold bands around their wrists. While it was to help their aim with webbing and give more accuracy, they still suppressed their quirk. “I know it sounds crazy, but... I know what it’s like. To need to control your quirk because it’s not understood or just... hated.”

He glances up from his food before looking up in thought. He was pretty sure he saw her earlier. “Mn...I think she’s getting an outfit fitted with Yuyu today.”

“Eh--- Oh! You’re one of Aizawa’s students, yes?” He remembered seeing her in the group at USJ and then talking to her with Toshinori after Bakugo had been taken. “Momo Yayorozu if I’m not mistaken? Your quick thinking was very helpful to us during Kamino. I’m not sure if we ever properly thanked you.” This was the girl Nikko liked too, if he remembered correctly. 

“You don’t have to be so nervous. Is there something I can help you with today?”

Casually jumps on his back, no biggie- (From Rumi to Marcus!)

He's settled at a modest office, overlooking a few papers unto which he scribbles different values into a spreadsheet. His keen nose picked up on her scent and the woman was acknowledged with a quick stare, a vague smile and a small wave of his hand prior to her jump. But when she jumped, Marcus felt it like a slightly stronger pat on the back, hard enough to make his large torso lean forward from inertia, but not really perturbing him any other way. But otherwise he's unperturbed, unmoved, no sign of acting in any way to remove the sudden disturbance. What he does though is sigh and rub the bridge of his nose for a brief moment. Now he can't go back to his paperwork.

"...Rumi." deep voice intones slowly, trying to conceal the small grimace on his face. "...Need anything?"

“Yaoyorozu...” It took him a moment to put a name to a face, but then he remembered who she was. Ah, Nikko’s little crush. They talked about her often, and he even met her once before the entire dormitory thing.

“A nice girl, but it makes me wonder how someone like her could think of being a hero. She’s very smart, from what I heard, her parents own a support item company. As someone who’s done that personally for a hero, I’m rather intrigued,” He mused. He then shrugged.

“As much as I’d like for Nikko to date someone like her, it’s not a big chance for that to happen. Even I know that. She’s very likeable, but it’s not like I’ll meet her often. Not to seem pessimistic, of course. I like a lot of things about her, but I don’t like how she encourages Nikko’s heroism.”
