I've been recently re-reading the manga and I just wanted to know ( ＾ω＾)💛
I might OCCASIONALLY yap about this one 🎀
As a OHSHC FANNNN, i think everyone should try to read at least the first volume of the manga
it honestly just reads the characters so much more accurately- like the smallest details caused the biggest difference.
when people said they changed a lot in the manga i figured they meant that they had different scenes in them but it's more like there is so much more context and character depth.
this specifically lowkey made me feel sad because compared to the anime where he says "Do you guys have a problem with my blood type?" you can tell he was lowkey hurt as they put him in this bad light 😭

All in all, I hope this is a fun place for the OHSHC fandom to thrive!
Ouran is the only fandom in FF.net who has an abundance of male characters and yet the main girl still manages to be the most popularly shipped which I just adore. I do believe it’s partly because anime fandoms usually were very misogynistic for a long time with their views of female characters along with female fans either/both holding internally misogynistic views and/or being tired in general of gender which is why Haruhi is so universally refreshing and remains as such. I am however a bit surprised about Kyoya’s popularity back then, who doesn’t seem to hold up as well now (which I think is erroneous to dismiss him as such actually without nuance). Kyoya however does have a lot of sex appeal and intrigue as a character and I’ll be honest seeming so fundamentally compatible with the main heroine while also having an interesting dynamic with her as well does give him some extra points in the popularity department too.

“Hikaru, wanna cuddle?”

By ‘strange’, I mean you easily make him flustered. Very flustered. He doesn’t like how weak he is for you,

His face flushes, “NO!” Dramatic door slam.
He does love whenever you introduce him to video games you like.

He’s very open with his emotions towards you, unlike his tsundere brother.
“You look very cute today, Y/N.” He pecks you on the cheek.
Your cheeks flush and you smile shyly. “Awh, flatterer!”
He’ll even ask you to try on certain outfits he’s working on.
“Wow, Y/N! It really suits you.” His eyes sparkle with such intense admiration.
You glance down at the outfit, fidgeting. “…You think so?” He nods and peppers your face in kisses, whispering compliments to you.
He loves when you show him your interests.
“Kaoru, take a gander at this!” You call out for him enthusiastically, showing him one of your interests.
He smiles. “Woah, I didn’t know you like this kind of stuff! That’s awesome!”
If you want cuddles or kisses, he will SERVE,
“Hey… You okay, Y/N?” His voice is so soft, so gentle.
“Mmh... Can… can we cuddle?” You look up at him shyly with wide, vulnerable eyes.
