Welcome to ohshcconfessions! This is a confession blog for Tumblr's Ouran High School Host Club fandom.

This is a place to confess anything about the ohshc fandom, media, or characters

This blog is currently only run by me and I post mainly on a running queue. Sometimes I'll answer them straight out of the askbox. My main is @lnsane-ace and you can call me Ace.

If I have not posted your confession, feel free to ask me about it or send it in again! Sometimes I make dumb mistakes too.

(No, I do not agree with all the confessions I will post here. I simply give people a safe place to post them where others from the fandom can interact)

RULES (subject to change):

1. Keep confessions about OHSHC or its fandom. other confessions will likely not be posted.

2. Do not harass or specifically target others when sending asks. This includes name dropping or being bigoted towards them (such as racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc...)

Replying to others is fine, but try not to get into heated arguments, or your confessions probably won't be posted. Keep it respectful towards one another. (I’ve had some anon confessions turn into people berating me, so please try to respect each other)

3. Do not be NSFW. I don’t mind if you’re being a little suggestive, but i don’t want this blog to be 18+

4. If I think a confession will start an argument or is racist, misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. towards any character or any real person, no, it will not be posted.

☺️💕 Such a lovely message to get right before bed. I'm so glad that my silly prank story is still getting reviews. One of the only non-smut filled stories that still gets attention. I just love how sweet the Ouran fandom can be.

OHSHC fandom will be immensely enjoyable for years if I keep strong opinions on ships and characters in check and continue to recognize that everyone has different and valid perspectives on things and deserve to be understood and respected even if they’re not giving the same respect back. It also helps that the OHSHC fandom is incredibly calm and I don’t think anyone holds genuine superiority complexes over opinions.

The Hosts and Music

Tamaki listens to songs with piano, classical or Billie Joel’s Piano Man, he has it. When he finds new music he plays the whole song out loud, following the  tune of the piano and the singers voice.

Kyoya listens to a wide variety of music, rap being the only genre he refuses to listen to. When he listens to classical or acoustic it’s out loud, but when he listens to punk rock or anything by rock bands it’s through headphones. When he discovers songs he listens to them over and over, focusing on and individual part and then switching until he covers them all and he listens to it as a whole, sucking it all in.

Haruhi listens to jazz and piano, occasionally the violin, and it always depends on her mood. If she’s sad, the songs are slow and ballad like, if she’s happy you can hear her listening to The Devil Went Down To Georgia. When she discovers music she plays it in her earbuds or headphones, letting the song become personal.

Hikaru listens to anything, sucking in the meaning and paying attention to the tone and mood. He prefers fast paced upbeat songs, enjoying the feelings that come with them. When he finds new music, he plays it for his brother to see if he likes it.

Kaoru enjoys fast songs but also has a soft spot for slow paced music, and he likes the way the instruments make him feel. When he discovers music, he listens to the song at least twice then plays it for Hikaru and sometimes Tamaki to see if the song sounds good to them, trying to convince them to play it for the club.

Honey likes soft music, enjoys stuff you can dance to, and loves acoustic versions of rock songs.

Mori likes rock and heavy metal, but has a soft spot for Honey’s favorite music, playing it for him and occasionally smiling softly at songs. When he finds something he adds it to his playlist.

I finished reading the manga to Ouran High School Host Club and I'm full of feels. I never was the biggest shōjo fan but goodness I loved this manga from beginning to end. It was so funny. I watched the anime first and was unsatisfied with the lack of season 2 and read the manga from start to finish - it is much better.

The characters are explained better. The panels are well organized. Their personalities just flew off the page. So great. Usually you have a few characters you like and a few you dislike but I can't single out any of these characters as superior to the others or vice versa. They're all so kawaii in their own way. It really was just such a cute story and it made me sad that it had to end. However the writer brilliantly allows you to imagine what the future will be like for these characters - as presented in the omake. So, it doesn't actually feel like it's over.
