She’s not an idiot, she’s followed Delphine’s car down here from
the moment she left her apartment, and now she’s left with a split
second decision. A decision which, in the moment, isn’t that
difficult to make. A shot is fired, but it’s not from the person Delphine
would expect, and it’s no longer aimed at her. The attacker, whom
Shay couldn’t possibly name, falls to the floor before they have a
chance to fire, and the smaller blonde stands, chest heaving while
she adjusts to the situation.
She could have just left, watched them shoot Delphine and walk away,
knowing that she’d probably be happier for the next couple of days.
But that’s not who she is, she understands...the motives behind Delphine’s
threats, she understands it all, even if she doesn’t agree, and she couldn’t
walk away. Her hand falls to the side, still wrapped around her gun. “Delphine?”
