Scent. - a Haikyuu fanfiction - A/B/O (omegaverse) LORE
After promptly falling in love with the whole concept of omegaverse (yeah that) I started to write my own ff that you can start reading here!
As maybe a kind of teaser or background information I will sometimes post about lore building or other stuff here on tumblr~
In Scent. I’m working with the basic concept of A/B/O with a couple of twists. Everything is playing in a college AU type of situation, and I haven’t thought about all the characters yet, but here are some:
As an Alpha I wanted to give him a strong scent but not something too musky or woody. Something more versatile and invigorating and so far its coffee! As someone who changes mood and demeanor quickly, I’ve had a lot of fun changing Tooru’s scent ambiance from roasted to fresh or stale coffee depending on his temper. I find the smell of coffee extremely comforting while it stands out from others! hehe
My first instinct was something earthy or minty ya know? But I thought that Iwa really needed something special to him! (Cuz he’s special to me lol) In the end, the scent of Agarwood was the one I settled for. For those who don’t know what Agarwood is, it is very special wood from the aquilaria trees. It is a beautiful smell that is strong and used in a lot of middle eastern perfumes. Some of you might know the more colloquial term Oud. I really felt that it was the smell for Hajime. Woody with a rich and sweet tone.
