Hello everyone

I present to you my work.

Once upon a time I looked at paintings painted in the Gothic style, in the style of romanticism. And I was overwhelmed by a wave of this aesthetic , somewhere gloomy beauty .

I got to work almost immediately.

With each brush stroke, I saw this picture more vividly.😉

My first attempts at working with oil paint. The first is a finger painted study of Claude Monet’s ‘Nymphéas’, from his series of waterlily canvases. The second is an original work, based on my reading of the article ‘ophthalmology and art: simulation of Monet’ cateracts and Degas’ retinal disease’ by Michael F Marmor, where I completed this painting without wearing my glasses. Definitely a challenge but I had loads of fun doing it :)

➖A terrible word. Terrible events. It is extremely difficult to survive, let alone thrive, in such circumstances.

Death, horror, and the absence of any hope for tomorrow are constant companions here.
