Post apocalypse although some cities survived but the rest, and much of the countryside, has been destroyed by Dragons. Out there is a Wasteland. It’s Father’s Day, and I get this idea that I really want to get my dad some of the cologne I used to get him when I was little (it was always the same one) and the stores don’t have it anymore, of course. There are still stores and stuff but they only have more handmade things now, or goods that have started to be manufactured (loosely) in the years since the Event. So I go out into the Waste, to dig around in the rubble and find him a bottle of this stuff in the remains of the old city.

I have to fend off a couple assholes who think I’m an easy mark, but they clear out quickly enough once they see I can defend myself. Finally, digging through the ruins of some apartment building, I find a little bottle, basically just a sample, but that’s enough. And then I see a picture frame...that looks familiar. I pull it out. 

This was our apartment.

why does my coworker insist on lying to me. sometimes it feels like straight up gaslighting to push off blame that he could've done something wrong but it's like. "none of the forms I have for this have this system checked off" and I feel like I'm going crazy because there's no versions of said forms I have where it's NOT checked off. what the fuck
