Man I love Kurow so much. This scene too. It really shows how shocked he is when he finally finds out his real mission. I tried to make this not just a straight scene redraw and I think I managed to make it work.

Also I just wanted to draw one last Okami centered thing before artfight starts :)

Hot Take(?)

My least favorite theory when it comes to Okami and Okamiden is people trying to say that Waka and Amaterasu Did It™️ to make Chibiterasu because “there’s no one else up there” or “there’s no one else she could have done it with for chibi to be like a carbon copy of her”

It’s just so stupid like there’s so many other explanations that make more sense and isn’t just weird you know?? Like if this theory was true how the hell did the other brush gods get children?? Did Waka just sleep with all of them??? How did Bakugami already have children in the first game if that’s the case?

My personal theory is that sometime after the end of Okami, due to the power imbalance of the leader of the powers of darkness being dead, all the gods created children out of some of their powers to officially stand in and take over to balance it out Yinyang style. Bakugami’s kids are special and don’t really fit this theory but I imagine they came about because of Tama and his further invention of fireworks/cherry bomb resulting in the new gods appearing. Bakugami just let them take over when the other gods formed children as there’s no need for him to make more.

I’ve seen some other theories too, like the idea Amaterasu just drew Chibiterasu into existence, which also kind of makes sense with the other brush gods as they theoretically can do the same since as brush gods they should be able to use the celestial brush. (would be kinda dumb if they couldn’t) I just don’t personally believe in these theories, they’re completely valid though :))

I just have Feelings about this theory and it makes me unreasonably annoyed every time I see it

Not sure if I’ve shared this before but I have a Jirachi shine. Just made out of most of my jirachi merch :) made of up whatever Pokemon cards I’ve gotten my hands of it. And four plushies, one of which is an anniversary plushie and another that isn’t seen in this picture is my oldest jirachi plush. In the very back on the right you can see I own the manga version of Jirachi wish maker :)! I honestly don’t know if it’s official or not but I like it.

It’s excluding my pins and I think some of my charms. I just haven’t put them in there.

I also have one of these things for Okami but that’s a bit smaller because a lot of it is posters and pins and whatnot that I don’t keep in the little cubby (I can share if asked)

You may have noticed I’ve been posting Okami art a lot recently. It’s mostly because I’ve decided to give in to my brain and be as silly as I want, I may be cringe but I am free is the mindset I’ve taken and it’s probably the best decision ngl.

This is especially true with the aus/ocs I’ve made, cause before I honestly didn’t think I could come up with something to fit with okami without ruining it. But I’ve decided to ignore that for just the fact that it’s fun making things like this :)

I’m probably going to become annoying I’m sure because of this but it’s my lifelong fixation so it’s just inevitable.
