“I-is it...?” Lee responded before a sheepish smile grew on his lips, bandaged hand going to rub the back of his head. “I never meant to be, however, yes, you are correct. “Thank you, Sakura. Good bye,” he responds cheerfully before moving to exit the village. He stops in his tracks though when he feels a tugging at his arm and he looks back, first curiously then his expression changing to one more endearing. With how clumsy he could be on missions, Lee had found over the years that it was standard for Sakura to express her worry for him. While he never wanted her to worry, a small warmth always grew in his chest whenever she did express it. It was nice to know she cared. “I will try my be-...” his words cut off when he feels her lips on his cheek, his heart fluttering in his chest in response. He stares down at her for a moment before giving a grin. “Well then...I am sure my mission will be successful now,” he raises a hand to give her a thumbs up. “You have my word. Please, take care of yourself. I will see you soon.” 

Lee went to stand passed the gates to wait for his team. He watched as Sakura made her way back into the village, only waiting for her to turn around before reaching up and gently brushing the cheek she had kissed with his finger tips.

A Mission -Closed RP

Finally, a good ranking mission, a nice change of pace compared to all the d ranks he and Akamaru had been on

Since disbanding team 8, it seemed all the Hokage wanted from Kiba was solo easy tracking tasks of finding lost pets and other low ranking, time wasting, missions

They weren't even well paying

He was starting to worry his skills were being taken for granted, and if he was ever going to see serious work anytime soon

But, Kakashi finally assigned him a much more serious task, to locate stolen medical supplies, the culprits having been a strong team of bandits, ambushing the delivery team a few miles away from Konoha's gates, stealing life saving medical supplies that Kakashi ensured were of up most importance, and Kiba, with the help of one comrade, were being sent out to track down the team responsible and returning the supplies to the hospital

Thought it was serious, Kiba couldn't help but grin as he arrived at the village gates to meet with Sakura, his mission comrade

"Ya ready to go?" He asked the pinkette in a cheerful tone, Akamaru barking his greeting from Kiba's side

It wasn’t often Lee wore anything other than his green leotard. Why would he need to? It was comfortable, it allowed for maximum mobility, it was perfect for training. However with a festival coming up, Lee figured he would need something a little more formal than that. 

He had arrived at the festival, feeling slightly nervous. It really did feel strange to him, to wear anything other than his normal leotard. But instead this time he opted for something that blended in more with the scene, a simple green kimono with an orange sash secured around his waist. Meeting up with his friends, his eyes lit up at the compliment, his lips spreading into a cheerful grin, not to mention the small amount of warmth he could now feel in his cheeks. “Do you really think so?! Thank you, Sakura!” It was only now that Lee was taking in Sakura’s appearance. She was always beautiful in his eyes, but there was something so delicate about how she looked now, in formal wear. It was definitely a deviation from her standard kunoichi uniform she wore. But it was a good one. “You look lovely yourself!”

“You think so?” Ino responded in amusement, giving a small chuckle at her friend’s observation. A hand reached up over her shoulder, her fingers lightly combing through her hair absentmindedly. “Maybe we could have won the war much faster that way, with my long-hair-strangle jutsu,” she jested before tilting her head curiously. “Wait you aren’t saying you think I should cut it, are you? Is it too long?”

Kiba is a hard muse for me to ship in general only bc he barely gets to develop his relationship much with anyone in canon so like for me almost any and every ship involving him will probably need a lot of development through rp. However, healthy rivals to lovers is a *chef’s kiss* trope and with the right development I am ALL here for it tbvh

“I would love to see!” Lee beamed at his friend at her telling him how much stronger she had become, then offering to show him. His gaze wandered around, then falling on a decently sized boulder. Perhaps she could demonstrate her new skill with that? Though before he could suggest it, Lee could feel his feet leave the ground, and himself being raised with very little effort. His attention turned back to Sakura with surprise, eyes wide for a moment before his face flushed. He gave a sheepish smile and reached to rub the back of his head. “That is amazing, Sakura. It is just like Gai sensei says, stronger than you were yesterday!”
