BIG NEWS!
I have been invited to be a Special Guest Programmer at Okashicon in Pflugerville, TX (Just a little NE of Austin) this year!
I have been going for several years to this convention, ever since it began and presented panels on things like Live Action Magical Girl and Sukeban On Film And TV but this year, I graduate to Guest Programmer. I am trying to decide what to program and if I have time to really get into a good panel situation. Part of me wants to do a panel on Sally the Witch (魔法使いサリ) and the show's influences and impact on the future of Magical Girls. I might also work on it as a tangent to my greater Sabrina Project (which I am working on on my other tumblr (SpookShow Vixens).
As for what I might show? Well, part of me wants to show more Idol X Warrior Miracle Tunes as that show has gone over REALLY well in the past.
But I think I might show the entire Dark Mercury arc from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (2003).
It is my favorite part of that entire series and something I feel would go over really well with the Okashicon audience. The convention runs from July 7-9 2023.
