Actually, you know what, I do know why I feel so weird about that ending. Or at least in part. I remember way back when this show was still on S5 (back in its prime) and I used to wonder how they would end this show. I always thought that it would end in their death because that’s what they’ve always said. “This only ends one way. Bloody.” So, I’m not upset that they’re both dead but more so the way they did it.

I was expecting a going out together, full on blaze of glory style not... in a vamp hunt gone wrong, and it only being Dean. To me, it would have made more sense (and maybe would have been slightly more satisfying) if Chuck beat them and they went out together that way but Sam had to live out the rest of his life (most likely guilt ridden because he couldn’t stop it) while Dean, what, lived it up in Heaven waiting around for him ???
