tbh, the only real thing to fear about the potential of vox n alastor turning out to be brothers (which is highly unlikely anyway) is honestly just the ppl in the fandom who hate on anyone still continuing to ship them. let me try and put this into perspective hmm

not an issue: ppl dropping the ship bc they personally are uncomfortable with the fictional incest (this is fine, squicks exist)

an actual issue: ppl sending hate to other ppl in the fandom who didn't drop the ship as soon as it was revealed that it was incest (this is lowkey just not their business? just in general, not just for fictional incest but other taboo tropes too like age gap - characters are like barbie dolls and minecraft villagers anyone should be able to do whatever with - and the idea that anyone else should look on in horror as they kill villagers or cut the hair off their barbie doll or take off all their limbs, thinking it actually reflects who they are or will become as a person someday is frankly just ridiculous in most cases.)

i didn't take it in account the first time i read it, BUT THEN i remembered that one ship from gta roleplay that ended up being FATHER-SON and...... well..... the chances are NEVER zero with them.

talking about this ship (which had the best tropes: annoying strangers to coworkers, annoying friendship/ lovers. BETRAYAL ARC, MEMORY LOSS. saving each other's lives. "I CARE ABOUT YOU.") i remember it was such a LOSS when the authors made them family..

the fandom mourned the ship FOR DAYS AND WEEKS.

of course, there were people who didn't care about the canon and continue shipping them, but ((personally)) i couldn't. (but i didn't see them as family either)

SO YES! i get ur point! (although the ppl who still ship the characters HAD to hide bcs the streamers hated it) (i mean, it WAS kinda weird but.... who cares ┐('～`;)┌ )
