idk if this is from a ask me game or whatever but its an interesting quote. heres what i think about it,
i love making people happy. im very empathetic and i know what its like to suffer, but usually when people say you cant please everyone, its in a form a self preservation. there will be times when no matter what you do, somebody is gonna feel hurt, or nothing will be good enough for them. sometimes they will want you to do impossible tasks and they still wont be please with you. if you can come to a compromise then hey! that’s great! but if that person continuously doesnt acknowledge your effort then you have to step back and say hey, do i really want to suffer and make my life a living hell for someone who wont even say thank you?
obviously its good to make an effort to get along with others. i try to be selfless and helpful but there is always a point. so saying you cant please everyone is less of a cop out and more of a reminder that you are a human living your own life. you have boundaries, you have control, you deserve to be treated with respect.
so there was this really hot girl and she was like "OMG BRITISH GUYS ARE SO CUTE" and then god was like "wow really hot girl you're actually right" and then he was like to all the angels "yo i've got an idea!" and all the angels were like "world peace?? get rid of university fees??" and then god was like "lol no i have a better idea let's make it rain british men" and all the angels were like "that is such a good idea why didn't we think of that?" so they made it rain british men the end.
