I have pictures and stories for you tomorrow, but I have driven many hours today. I am road-weary, laying in a cheap motel bed in Nowhere, Texas, ready to drift into unconsciousness the moment I put down my phone. But before I do that, I want to share this with you. This meme perfectly expresses how I felt trying to figure out my camera and get the shots I wanted from last night’s show. I put myself into a situation for which I was not fully prepared, which is nothing new for me, but the creeping realization that I simply was not going to accomplish what I had set out to do left me with two options: say, “fuck it” and leave, or make the most of the situation in front of me. I chose the latter, and not only did that allow me to enjoy the show and make some new friends, it allowed me to learn and move forward on this path I have set for myself. So I guess my point is that even if you feel like a dog wearing human clothes, trying to level dried concrete with a hand trowel, you should still give it your best shot. #okaygoodnight #illdothehashtagstomorrow #sotired
