Constructured between 1883 to 1887 and built for the English, Scottish and Australian Bank (now known as the Australia & New Zealand Bank) designed by William Warnell, this impressive banking building on the corner of Collins and Queen Streets is an excellent example of commerical gothic. The building contains a banking chamber which is still in use by the ANZ Bank. Upstairs is a manager's residence which remains in excellent condition. Downstairs, the banking chamber with its ornately decorated ceiling is a true architectual treasure. #anzbank #gothicbank #gothicarchitecture #okdbuildings #melbourne #victoria #australia (at The ANZ Banking Museum) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx8w2f4BkiylqescaUzXB_PyunxvKicZvgZKOE0/?igshid=hl4a1rqummnq
