You can say that Sephiroth gushing over Jenova & being adored as her son was his… final fantasy before death.
…door’s that way?? Aight, I’ll see myself out.

open to : fems .
the silence has him uncomfortable from the get-go , a place that should be familiar & cure him of any home sickness . it just has him riddled with anxiety , his key fitting seamlessly in the door being the only reminder that this was a place they shared . that he wasn't an intruder . six months had felt like an eternity , & even the smell wafting through the foyer was unrecognizable . he's surprised to see her silhouette , bulky numbers on phone screen reading fifteen minutes passed three o'clock in the morning . feels guilty that she had stayed up waiting for him ... or maybe she hadn't slept at all since he wasn't occupying the spot beside her . knows that's how it felt for him . the rolling of his suitcase is obnoxious in the otherwise silent vicinity , an awkward clear of his throat eliciting as he halts before the sofa ― where fiance was sat . “ hey ... you didn't have to wait up for me . ” this was supposed to be a joyous a moment , he'd pictured it in his head a thousand times over while he was away . instead it's heavy , the weight of the impending conversation looming over both of their heads . kneels in front of her , suitcase toppling over as he shifts , a palm moving to rest against the cushion beside her frame . “ i know there's a lot we need to talk about . but , don't you want to get some sleep ? nothing happened with that girl , & we can talk about in how ever many details you want in the morning . ”
good for them. <3

@pcplarstreet asked: [ Benny ] “I thought you’d be gone by now?”
morning after | ( ACCEPTING. )
SHE WONDERS HERSELF WHY SHE HASN’T BUDGED AN INCH, Ramona sits up on the edge of the bed, her foot swinging from side to side. fingers tightly clasping the straps of her heels. She was about to leave when Benny stopped her by piping up; she turned back to him. She hadn’t bothered re-applying makeup, what remained was faded on her face, her hair was unruly, her face worn despite the night they had. She smirks slightly as she turns back to Benny, her fingers running through the locks of her hair, making eye-contact with tired eyes. She is, at first, silent, as if pondering.
“You’d... like that, wouldn’t you?” Ramona laughs though despite her words, her laughter wasn’t bitter, she palled around with Benny as if she truly were in good spirits. ( But her eyes betrayed the rest of her exterior. ) It would be easy to leave, Ramona would prefer to leave but instead, she remains.
It’s such a shame to have seen such a DIFFERENT side to Benny, a tender, more human side to him that screams to Ramona that he’s a PERSON with needs & wants just like everyone else. It almost enrages her, to think that this man has brought down his own shield, just this once, to show Ramona the many facets to his personality.
How else is she supposed to KILL him? It hurt her, it ACTUALLY hurt her. There was a hammering in her chest where her heart pumps blood.
“I’ll be out of your hair in a moment...” Her words mumble.

You feel great starting to work again but you aren’t ashamed to admit that:
1. Yes, you really miss Jamie. And
2. Yes, you really miss Carmilla.
It’s hard being away from them. And without a set schedule at your job you never know for sure when you’ll get to see them. Especially with Carmilla’s job often keeping her out at odd hours now that she’s starting to take on a more serious case or two. It’s hard sometimes not having her around, you won’t pretend it isn’t. And it sucks because you’d gotten used to always being with Jamie. You were having a hard time staying away from them.
Those first few months, you’d call in every couple hours to check in to the point you’re sure it annoys them. But you couldn’t help but worry. It was what mother’s did.
You don’t usually have long nights. You’re usually home by around six at night, sometimes you have to work on different news packages for different stories, but they never kept you up too late. However Carmilla was never home later than ten. She didn’t have to go in until she wanted to really, but she was gone by nine or ten most days. There was a lot of office work from what you could tell, with her having to put her cases and arguments together with collected evidence.
