Last night

I met up with three absolutely beautiful, smart, and hilarious women. OKJewpid, ANewYorkDateOfMind, and IThoughtIdShare. We shared some drinks and giggled about boys. I feel so lucky to have amazing Internet friends. You guys have no idea.

Ski Glove Guy

I guess there was a date (pre-blog) when the guy showed up wearing puffy ski gloves, and while I can’t think of any acceptable reason to wear puffy ski gloves in Manhattan, it was made worse by the fact that it wasn’t even that cold out.  He didn’t drink alcohol (huge bummer) so we went to get smoothies instead (it really wasn’t that cold out).  He didn’t pay for mine.  We were talking about traveling and I mentioned how the white noise of a jet engine is basically a sedative for me.  He suggested that I should get a jet engine in my bedroom… and then I’d probably get sucked in.  I used the “joke” about my gruesome death as an exit cue.  I thought I was pretty obvious about it, but he texted me asking for a second date.
