Finally got my upstair rigs in order. I cheated and shoved the travel rods behind the curtains and the bigger rigs are downstairs. Thanks to Davey Brown for my rod racks! Was enough for upstairs. The Okuma Rod Racks aren’t pricey and very portable. I still need 2 more but I’m using 5gal buckets for now. I spent all day lubing the reels and making sure handles are loose & stored knob down. It’s a labor of love that I enjoy! All serious anglers take pride in their gear. Parents, if you don’t want your kids getting into drugs or gangs teach them to fish. One of my new Okuma Blue Azores 8K’s. Just had Ken at Charley’s Fishing Supply put on 65lb braid backing with a 40lb mono shock leader. Will try this out. If I like it I’ll put 50lb braid backing on the other Blue Azores 8K w/a mono shock leader. Mounted on a new 12’ MH Cedros Surf Rod. This duo is a proven long distance casting duo! Still have my older 12’ Cedros MH Surfrod w/the original Azores65 (which is now the new Blue Azores 8K). With only a 3oz pyramid I can cast this 100yd no problem!
