My favorite shoreline surf casting rigs! For shallow water I use the Cedros Surf Rods by Okuma. These are the 12’ MH. For targeting bigger game I use the 11’ H. For the shallows I use the Okuma Azores65/Blue Azores 8K with 50lb braid backing to 40lb mono shock leader top shot. For targeting bigger game I use 65lb braid backing to 50lb shock leader top shot. These rigs have caught Jacks to Bonefish. A year ago it held a huge GT for +40min before it dove into structures in front of me to cut the line.
