Sunday is our last official (WFTDA sanctioned) bout of the season. We're super excited and it's going to be a fun trip to Missouri and a GREAT game, but everyone's a little sad that this remarkable time is coming to an end. As of now we are 6:2 this season, and our two losses are ones that we are completely comfortable with and feel like we learned a lot from. It's our first winning season, and the first time we've felt like a team that's capable of anything. There will be no other time like 2011 for the Victory Dolls.
From here on out we will be looking forward to our biggest fundraiser of the year, several mashups including one with our little sister league the Enid Rollergirls and (pending venue issues AGAIN) our annual Tequila Mockingbird Fundraiser mashup. Also we're going to grow the crap out of our home teams and train as hard as possible for next season, which starts EARLY in 2012. And of course we're looking forward to an epic End of Season party/awards ceremony, as always.
From here on out we like to think we will only keep improving and keep exceeding expectations (also known as proving our haters wrong). Here's to an awesome bout in Springfield, and an awesome off-season!
