A colleague of Susan's and her husband like to go to EDM shows and they convinced us to get tickets to a show that was in Minneapolis last Friday night. The main act, Mersiv, was going to go on at 1am and I'm old as hell so we agreed to go at 10pm and stay for an hour or so to see what it was all about.

It was fun. The crowd was amazing. People were having fun. There were cool and artistic costumes. Plenty of queer folks. People were bobbing and dancing. We didn't witness any bro culture bullshit. Everyone we saw was kind.

The DJs were super enthusiastic (they are in the middle of the photo with the light up masks). The music wasn't exactly my thing but they sampled some cool stuff.

We were likely the oldest people there. One 20ish year old made a joke about checking our IDs which was cute and funny. If it wasn't so fucking late we would have stayed longer.

If I was in my 20s, I would definitely put in ear plugs and go to these shows.
