Adam West: 1928-2017
People have already written a bunch of great eulogy’s for him and I can’t really add more onto this than saying that I’m happy that he was a part of my childhood and that he really was a good person in and out of costume. And that means a lot. In a world filled with Grim N’ Gritty “heroes“, West was a reminder that heroes could smile at one point.
While I’m disappointed that I didn’t get this done a lot faster the truth was that this relatively simple tribute was a lot harder than I thought it’d be. I just was never satisfied nor did I wanna cheat like a lot of fan art tributes by only drawing west in costume (despite being terrible at drawing real life likeness’). And while I wanted to give up a few times, I’d remember how much I loved Batman ‘66 over the years and soldier on.
I’m gonna miss him.
