Our label maker at work ran out of thermal ribbon several weeks ago.

When this happened I still needed to make sticker labels. I ended up using our old typewriter for all my labels.

I really enjoyed it and now kinda miss it since my missing part has arrived.

Velvet sat on the counter with a mound of inedible mushrooms discarded in a corner of the home lab. He was worn out and exhausted. It felt like it took forever to find the old research notes and longer to clean up the machine. The machine's larger mushies that were sticking out where harvested, and outer paneling was mostly set back in place. He left the mushies growing inside among the more delicate circuitry alone for now.

He squinted at the fistful of old research notes. "this thin' better brin' more food," He grunted and wiped a bit of drool on his sleeve. "that cake slice got me cravin'."

The machine's display screen glowed dimly.

Velvet's grin tightened at what his home was set as default. A quick review of the notes and a fiddled with the old keyboard, and the settings were changed. Velvet's grinned widened as the machine whirled to life with it's new Hub names.The machine was ready.
