Wtf were we thinking of back then????? @angels-hymn
THIS IS THE SECOND AND LAST ONE I SWEAR..
If the Storm Guardian was to be honest, having time to spend with the Tenth like they used to would be quite appealing but he couldn't be selfish and was quick to reject her offer, waving his hands in a 'surrender' sheepishly at that "No.. No It's fine--" He trailed off, resting his hands against the keyboard and letting out a soft sigh of discontent.
Of course he wanted to spend time with the Tenth, to flank him-- To put himself to good use and being cramped up in an office all day with tedious paper work to tend to didn't exactly leave one with a sense of achievement, atleast for him-- someone who'd prefer to be working on the front line, it didn't. "If Juudaime is busy then- Well, I'll just have to work harder." He rolled one of his sleeves up, a force smile radiating confidence cracking his once disappointed visage.
He couldn't burden the Tenth, he'd just have to pick up his game more and take more of the weight off of their boss's shoulders! He could tell the girl before him felt sympathy for his case but that wasn't what he required--- He needed her to make sure that the Tenth was in good condition-- He'd been working hard lately, perhaps too much so and to watch him fall to the fingers of exhaustion would not leave good results, not for him-- and not for the rest of their family either
A hand rested on her head, offering condolences of sorts; she worried about her team-mates and aware of this he wanted her to know he'd be fine-- No matter what he longed for. "You just do your job alright Chrome? And if anything comes up with Juudaime, let me know." He turned his gaze back to the computer, said screen reflecting in his glasses; despite how much he'd wanted to accept her offer he couldn't-- He'd just have to shoulder the work load, just like the good subordinate he was.

((Heh, somehows I'm not thinkin there ever was a Mr. Nice Mech.. or if there was, ya ate him. [/teases] But you 'n me both, Blue, but lately Soundwave ain't lettin' me off ship to fight with th' rest of em. Put me on what should be drone duty [/groans] anyway, yea, I don't undastand their fascination wit th local fauna. Looks like a buncha mindless fleshies ta me.
----Breakdown just gives him a deadpan look... then chuckles at what he just said before letting go of the cube. "Guilty." He smirks and sits up. "Y'know you're not as bad as I thought you'd be for a second there... If Soundwave wouldn't disappear my aft I'd probably be alright with pittin' you up with the rest of us next time we lock horns... You might be able to take out what's left of that little yellow guy, at least. He's got all kindsa parts missin'. Seems like offin' HIM would be a favor."
Rumble smirks right back, "What can I say, I have that effect on other mechs.. or at least th' ones with some sense." Stopping for a moment to consider the other things that Breakdown just said, he kicked his legs leisurely against the counter. "Nah, he'd just make YOU do drone duty with me, and trust me when I say it ain't fun. Think I had a better time cleaning th' dirt outta my chassis than I do now. 'nd Wave has this thing against fun, anyway. Hadta nearly promise halfa my spark just ta get him to go outside with me."))
