Old Disney Trailers
You ever notice how spoiler-heavy old Disney trailers are?
Example:
I admittedly have a nostalgic soft spot for this trailer (it played in front of my Return of Jafar VHS which I watched a lot as a kid), but it gave away a few crucial plot points. The most obvious one is the reference to Mufasa’s death when Simba tells Rafiki that his father died (at the 1:19 mark in the trailer) and the appearance of Ghost Mufasa (at the 1:31 mark). There’s obviously more examples of this in Disney trailers made before and after The Lion King, but this one has stuck out the most to me over the years.
Side note: I miss these trailers with voiceover by Mark Elliot. It’s mostly nostalgia, but despite the spoilers he really knew how to hype up animated movies in 90s trailers.
This 1951 Royal Spartanette Trailer hasn’t moved from it’s place in the Colorado Rocky Mountains since 1972.
It doesn’t matter that there’s no running water or electricity to owner Susan Reynolds. Every day is an adventure of singing, strumming banjo, laughter, and exploring the countryside. And of course, good coffee.
Named “The Silver Moonbeam,” most of it is original, except for a few updated appliances.
There’s a vaulted outhouse nearby.
Even if it’s not the life you’d envision, you can’t help but feel a bit of envy over her peaceful perspective on life.

something about it...
So, do you guys remember the old trailer of FFXV? The one where Stella and Noctis were in some kind of stand-off, with both of them pulling out their weapons? It’s this one. The new FFXV Omen Trailer with Luna and Noctis reminded me of that one. Made it seem like an homage to that previous trailer. Just me though.
