Vid Recs Meme: time constraints
The next round of meme prompts all have to do with the time at which a vid was made. Here we go!
A new vid in an old fandom: How fortunate that today is the day that Festivids 2025 went live! We have just been gifted with a boatload of brand new vids for older movies and shows! <3333 I adore this beautiful entry for The Secret Garden (1993), whose creator is still anonymous for now (AO3 link):
A vid that's over 5 years old: I could choose so many, but one that I love and haven't found an opening to rec yet is Di Wey's wonderful Martha/Ten character study, Foundations. It's so rare to see a vid that is about a ship without being either for or against it; instead, one senses that the ways these two people work together and the ways they don't are closely intertwined. And the vid itself is 17 years old, so it more than qualifies for this slot :)
A vid from this past year: How about from this past day? lol! Posted this morning, a lovely Joan & Sherlock vid for Festivids that, by a delightful coincidence, uses the same song as my favorite Granada vid, "Read My Mind." Apparently it's just their song :) <333333 The creator is currently anonymous (AO3 link):
